17th Sunday in Ordinary Time “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish; but what good are these for so many?”
(JOHN 6:9)
The miracle of the Loaves and Fishes is the only miracle which is recorded six times in the Gospel. It carries two im-
portant messages. First, no matter how little we have, we always have enough to share. Second, Christ can take our
humble gifts and do great things with them if we are just willing to let Him. No gift is too small or insignificant!
St. Mary’s We are looking for young child friendly games such as candy-
land, jenga, dominos, etc. If you are cleaning out and have
any please drop them off at the Church.

Mission Appeal, In the Book of Acts St. Paul speaks to how as part of his mis-
sion while traveling to share the message of Christ he was
asked to remember the poor of the Church of Jerusalem and
other local Christian Communities in need. St. Paul talks about
how this was a joy for him to do and he glories in the way that
the communities which he founded were generous in support-
ing the needs of other Christian Communities in the world. Next weekend, August 4/5 2018, Fr. Joseph Chipson will be
joining us at all of our Masses to speak with us about the minis-
tries and needs of the Diocese of Verapoly in India. He will
share with us about the good works that are being accom-
plished in his home diocese along with some of the struggles
and needs of the church in India.
There will be a Second Collection during Mass to help support
the works of Archdiocese of Verapoly, please see the back of
this weekend’s bulletin for more information about the needs
of the Church in Verapoly.
