SSFC YOUTH MINISTRY

It takes a parish…

to bring teens to know Christ and empower them to become intentional disciples!

Easter morning...

As the world sings trium-phant cries to heaven over death that you conquered, help us, Lord, tomorrow as well, when the dresses are put away and the candy is all eaten and on with life we go, let us not forget.

The celebration of your resur-rection over death is a cele-bration of life that should continue well beyond the sunrise service and the music, rehearsed for days prior; it is beyond the sign of spring, beyond the lily, beyond new lambs grazing in open fields.

Resurrection is a daily celebration over fear; man's greatest and most powerful enemy. Fear of tomorrow, fear of our yesterdays, fear of what shall become of our young ,our old, our unborn. Resurrection is replacing fear with physical action.

I shall cling to this now, and the tomorrows given me. Amen. - Author Unknown

**Please note that there will be no REYM small groups this Sunday morning...share your NEW LIFE with your family!!! We will come together again on Sunday, April 8th.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Catholics Returning Home Do you know some-

one who’s left the Church? Most of us do not have to look

far to find non-practicing Catholics in our circle of family and friends.

As baptized, practicing Catholics, we have a precious gift of faith and love from the Lord that needs to be shared with our non-practicing brothers and sisters. First, we

need to pray for them. Next, we need to extend a person-al invitation to them to come home to the Catholic

Church.

Here at Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi we have a

special program to help non-practicing Catholics

return to the Church. The next series of “Catholics

Returning Home” begins April 10 at 7:00 pm in the

Junípero Serra Room. For more information, contact Joy

Burianek at (317)859-4673, x119, [email protected].

with similar losses who share their feelings and

concerns in a small intimate group that is confiden-

tial and caring. We hope you will join us for coffee

For you alone are the Holy One; You alone are the Lord. You alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God, the Father. Amen

Death and life fought bitterly for this wondrous victory; The Lord of life who died reigns glorified! 4. O Mary, come and say what you saw at break of day. 5. “The empty tomb of my living Lord! Galilee.” 8. Share the good news, sing joyfully: His death is victory! Lord

Jesus, Victor King, show us mercy.

Jesus Christ Is Risen Today

Jesus Christ is ris’n today, Al-le-lu-ia! Our triumphant holy day, Al-le-lu-ia! Who did once upon the cross, Al-le-lu-ia! Suffer to redeem our loss, Al-le-lu-ia! Hymns of praise then let us sing, Al-le-lu-ia! Unto Christ, our heav’nly King, Al-le-lu-ia! Who endured the cross and grave, Al-le-lu-ia! Sinners to redeem and save. Al-le-lu-ia! But the pains which he endured, Al-le-lu-ia! Our salvation have procured; Al-le-lu-ia! Now above the sky he’s King, Al-le-lu-ia! Where the angels ever sing. Al-le-lu-ia! Sing we to our God above, Al-le-lu-ia! Praise eternal, as his love; Al-le-lu-ia! Praise him, now his might confess, Al-le-lu-ia! Father, Son, and Spirit blest. Al-le-lu-ia!

Eat This Bread

Eat this bread, drink this cup, come to him and never be hungry. Eat this bread, drink this cup, trust in him and you will not thirst.

Christ the Lord Is Risen Today

Christ the Lord is ris’n today, Alleluia! All on earth with angels say: Alleluia! Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia! Sing, O heav’ns; and, earth, reply, Alleluia! Lives again our glorious king, Alleluia! Where, O death, is now your sting, Alleluia! Once he died our souls to save, Alleluia! Where your victory, O grave? Alleluia! Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia! Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia! Death in vain forbids him rise, Alleluia! Christ has opened paradise. Alleluia! Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia! Foll’wing our exalted Head, Alleluia! Made like him, like him we rise, Alleluia! Ours the cross, the grave, the skies. Alleluia!

EASTER SONGS...lift your voices...ALLELUIA!!!

Easter Sunday April 1, 2018 9

Psalm 118: Let Us Rejoice

Refrain: This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad; This is the day the Lord had made, let us rejoice and be glad!

Give thanks to the Lord, for God is good; God’s mercy endures for ever; Let the house of Israel say: “God’s mercy endures for ever.” The hand of the Lord has struck with power, God’s right hand is exalted, I shall not die, but live anew, declaring the works of the Lord. The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone, The Lord of love and mercy has brought wonder to our eyes!

ood will.

Father.

ather,

!

a!

Alleluia, Christ Is Risen

Alleluia, Christ is risen, now the stone is cast away! Darkness gone and sin forgiven, on this joyful day of days. Songs of hope and love eternal from our hearts to you we raise. In your death and life’s renewal, we pour forth our joyful praise! Alleluia, Christ is risen, from his death upon a cross. Now all share a common vision, love now reigns and hate is lost. In this feast we share the story: love’s new birth for all to see. From our God’s almighty glory, sign of things to ever be. Alleluia, Christ is risen, truth and justice from the grave, and brought forth for all who listen: new life from the life he gave. Now with joyful hearts and voices joined as one we share your love. Here in Christ the world rejoices, sight now turned to God above.

Now We Remain

Refrain: We hold the death of the Lord deep in our hearts Living, now we remain with Jesus the Christ.

Once we were people afraid, lost in the night, Then by your cross we were saved—Dead became living. Life from your giving. Something which we have known, something we’ve touched, What we have seen with our eyes; This we have heard: Life giving Word. He chose to give of himself, became our bread: Broken that we might live—Love beyond love, Pain for our pain. We are the presence of God; this is our call: Now to become brad and wine—Food for the hungry, Life for the weary. For to live with the Lord, we must die with the Lord.

“He is not here,

for he has risen.”

LITURGY

"I want to extend a thank you to all the participants who have signed up so far for this year’s Kentucky Mis-sion Trip. We have had a wonderful turnout from the youth. However, the mission trip is not possible without the help from our parish adults. We are still in need of adults and vehicles.

If you, or someone you know is interested in attending, contact me, Miranda Korreck, at (317)753-7267 or

[email protected] at your earliest convenience.”
