REDFERN OVAL CASE STUDY Project Title: Redfern Oval Redevelopment Client: City of Sydney South Sydney City Council South Sydney District Rugby League Football Club
Project Description In 2002 the South Sydney City Council engaged ISFM to undertake a detailed study to determine the specific needs of the community with respect to Redfern Oval and Park. The findings from the study were developed into a site masterplan that outlined the development of a boutique rugby league ground with a capacity of up to 10,000 patrons, and the upgrade of Redfern Park. ISFM was also commissioned by the South Sydney Football Club to develop a design brief for the Rabbitohs’ requirements within the new $20 million Redfern Oval. The redevelopment of Redfern Oval was to be devel-oped by the City of Sydney in accordance with ISFM’s 2002 masterplan. The Rabbitohs facilities include an international standard playing field, change rooms, gymnasium, theatrette, lounge and strategy room.
