RULES FOR PARTICIPATION

Applications are invited for the following music categories:

Only for Class VIII to Class XII a. Vocal – Classical – Solo b. Vocal- Bhajan – Solo c. Vocal- Group song (patriotic/desh bhakti) d. Dance – Classical – Solo e. Dance – Group (any state folk dance) f. Dance – Group (devotional)

OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Only Patriotic/Desh Bhakti/Devotional film tunes and song are allowed.2. Teams not restricting to the time limit will be disqualified.3. There will be running trophy for the best overall school and separate trophies will be awarded in

both the categories.4. The decision of the Judges will be final.5. Participants will have to bring their own instruments.6. We expect full co-operation and to maintain discipline from your team during the competition.7. Host Satyug Darshan Sangeet Kala Kendra will also participate but will not compete for running

trophy and other prizes.8. A school can send one team in each category.

th9. Entries will be accepted by Monday 12 November 2018.10. All schools should send the list of their participants well in advance.

th th11. Students from 8 class to 12 class are only eligible, irrespective of any caste, creed, gender and

religion.12. Recorded tunes are not allowed for vocal category. 13. Judgement will be based on Choreography, music, costumes, makeup, coordination and overall

effect.14. The participating teams will be responsible for removal of their sets/properties immediately

after the completion of their performance.15. The participating teams must report to the Stage Secretary at least 30 minutes before the

commencement of this event. Note: student must bring their school identity card.

Learning a skill doesn't make you a master at it, practising a skill does, and so we are happy to announce that we just opened a music recording studio facility at out centre in Jalandhar where with the basics, our students are also going to know what playback singing and recording is all about, and get a real exposure that we believe is very necessary for a student to grow!

Dear Sir/Madam,

You will be pleased to know that we are organizing 12th Inter-District Music Competition which will be held at Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Amritsar, Pathankot, Khanna, Ludhiana, Hoshiarpur and Gurdaspur / Batala from 16th November to 4th December 2018.

Last year, we have organized 11th Inter-District Music Competition. In the said event, nearly 2500 school children from 125 schools participated for vocal and dance streams of music. Renowned experts of the music had judged the students and winners were given trophies and certificates. Trophies were won for achieving the excellence. The event was attended by large gathering and had received accolades from the audiences for the enthralling performances of the participants. The event was also well covered by the local print and digital media.

You would be delighted to know that this year we are organizing '12th Inter District Music Competition',at Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Amritsar, Pathankot, Khanna, Ludhiana, Hoshiarpur and Gurdaspur / Batala.

You are requested to send the entries of the students from your institution, as per the appended form.
