※ 4, 8, 12, 16, 17 terminals are not used.1) The temperature converted by a platinum resistance temperature detector of Pt100 of Jpt100 or Pt1000 or Ni1000 can be displayed in ℃ or ℉, and the temperature values can be processed as digital values up to the first decimal place.
2) The converted temperature data are converted to 16bit binary data, which can be processed as digital values. The temperature in the range from -200℃ to 600℃ are converted to the values from 0 to 16000(-8000~8000).
3) The range of temperature is from -250℃ to 650℃, and the range of digital value is from -192 to 16191.
4) If Min and Max. temperature values are set up, the min. value will ve converted to 0 (-8000) and the max. value is 16000(8000).
5) Each channel can detect the breaking of resistance temperature, cables, and the excess of measuring range.
6) There are 4 channels to connect PT100, JPT100, PT1000 or Ni1000.
7) The number of modules used on one base is not limited.
8) LED is lighted in normal status, and blinks at the intervals of 0.2 second in error status.
Features and Operation of CM1-RD04A, RD04B Front view(RTD)
Terminals are grouped as 1-2-3, 5-6-7, 9-10-11,13-14-15, and each above channel takes input.
1) Pt100 or JPt100 has 100Ω(resistance) at 0℃, and the Resistance value changes according to temperature variation.
2) CM1-RTD gets resistance values by dividing voltage, and converts Resistance to a temperature value to save the result in memory.
3) RTD input module linearizes the resistance input of non-linear RTD as follows.

In case that RTD or cable is broken down, or measured temperature values are greater than maximum value or less than minimum value, the following error codes are stored in Buffer Memory from "31" to "38" for each channel and LED blinks at the intervals of 0.3 sec.
In order to clear error code, open CICON and click [Online] → [RTD Module] → [Status] and then click [Reset Error].
∆ is 0~3 for RTD modules.
If error occurs in maximunm and minimum temperature setting, the bit for Buffer Memory "50" becomes 1, and LED blinks at the intervals of 0.3 sec.

Product WarrantySafety Instruction
Use a cable for input signal of module differently from a cable for AC to prevent the influence of surge or induction noise occurring from AC.
Select a cable considering ambient temperature and allowable current AWG22(0.3mm2) or more is recommended.
If the wiring is to colse to heat-generating device or directly contacted with oil for long periods of time it may cause short circuit, breakdown or malfunction.
In case of wiring together with high-voltage cable or power line, it may cause malfunction or breakdown.
The tightening torque is 6.99 in.Ib.
Use copper or copper-clad aluminum conductor.
