NEW INITIATIVES TO INCREASE ATTENDANCE IN 2017 Focus has always had a 60% discount for the significant others of it’s attendees. This popular program enables people to make the conference into a mini-vacation, thereby increasing the number of professionals attending. And now in 2017, Focus is initatiating an additional program to increase the number of decision makers attending. The rules and regulations that follow will be enforced so that all exhibitors can operate equitably. It is the responsibility of the applicant, whose signature appears on the application/contract, to be sure that staff are aware of the show rules and adhere to them. Questions may be directed to Exhibits Coordinator, Anne Felts at (303) 919-9903. 1) At least one representative from each company must be present in the booth location during exhibit hours.2) The design of your booth or island should be such that visitors can discuss your products or services within your

location without blocking traffic flow in the aisles. Island booths must be accessible by attendees on all four sides and must not have any backdrop or solid wall that blocks an attendee’s sight line to any other exhibitor’s booth.

3) Prize drawings are welcome on the exhibit floor. Entries may be completed within your booth, the drawing may be conducted at your booth and winner(s) may be posted (posted only) on the FOCUS message board.

4) There are no restrictions on what promotional/giveaway items must cost per item. Suggested quantity is 1,500.5) The Rosen Shingle Creek prohibits the use of helium-filled balloons. In addition, FOCUS will bill any exhibitor

who leaves an inordinate amount of trash and/or fails to comply with these regulations.6) Loud audiovisual or mechanical equipment cannot be utilized in booths. No cooking or baking of any kind is

permitted. 7) Solicitation or promotion by any representative from the exhibit floor is prohibited unless booth space has been

purchased. People found soliciting or promoting themselves, a product or a corporate entity will be escorted from the premises. No refund will be made under these circumstances.

FOCUS reserves the right to deny future exhibit space to any exhibitor who fails to adhere to these rules and regulations.

HOUSING / SUITE RESERVATIONSFOCUS has negotiated a special hotel room rate at the Rosen Shingle Creek for exhibitors and attendees of $149/night. There are no daily resort fees, wireless internet in every guest room is free of charge and there is free parking for Focus attendees and exhibitors alike. The Rosen Shingle Creek will directly process requests for sleeping accommodations and hospitality suites. The phone number to call to arrange for sleeping accommodations or hospitality suites is: Rosen Shingle Creek: 866-996-6338 or locally at 407-996-6338. MEETING ROOM RESERVATIONSAn exhibiting company may hold company meetings, or meetings at which convention registrants are invited, during the FOCUS Conference. There shall, however, be no fee required to attend those meetings. Meeting rooms at the Rosen Shingle Creek may be arranged directly after approval is granted by Focus. FOCUS will not grant authorization for exhibitor-sponsored meetings involving registrants on Friday, May 5th from 8:30am - 10:30pm or on Saturday, May 6th from 7:00am - 5pm.SECURITYThe exhibit hall will be locked whenever it is not open to attendees. FOCUS and/or the Rosen Shingle Creek will provide security in the hallways immediately outside the exhibit hall on a 24-hour basis to insure against unauthorized personnel from entering the hall. Entrance and exits of workers, attendees, and exhibit personnel will also be strictly monitored. Despite these precautions, however, neither FOCUS nor the Rosen Shingle Creek will assume responsibility for loss of, or damage to, exhibitors’ property. Exhibitors are encouraged to take precautions to protect their own property and to arrange for appropriate insurance against loss.

Focus would appreciate the cooperation of all exhibitors as regards their lodging at the Rosen Shingle Creek. Not only will exhibitors enjoy the luxury of this AAA Four-Diamond property for the outstanding rate of $149/night, but company reps will also enjoy the convenience of staying at the hotel where every aspect of the conference takes place. Your cooperation will also assist Focus in meeting and/or surpassing its contracted room block which positively affects our group’s “history” in the hotel industry. Six of the seven categories of booths (island booths being the exception) are 10’ x 10’ with backdrape to eight feet, siderails to three feet and come with a 7” x 44” sign listing the exhibitor name, city, state, and booth number. Booth structures within 10x10 spaces are limited to eight feet in height. Structures in island booths are limited to 20 feet in height. Island booths must be accessible by attendees on all four sides and must not have any backdrop or solid wall that blocks an attendee’s sight line to any other exhibitor’s booth. Corner booths must be masked to avoid unsightly appearances. The exhibit space rental fee does not include: furniture, accessories, audio-visual services, additional signs, or electricity. As a bonus to our exhibitors and as a way of saving our exhibitors additional fees, we have specifically chosen an exhibit hall for 2017 that is fully carpeted and which provides gratis wireless internet service. Other items can be ordered from the show decorator (The George Fern Exposition and Event Services Corporation) using the forms in the Exhibitor Service Manual, projected to mail February 22, 2017 or accessible at www.FernExpo.com.

LOYALTY DISCOUNT SCHEDULE

Companies who have exhibited for 10 or more consecutive years are entitled to a 10% discount on their booth fee for 2017.Companies who have exhibited for 5 - 9 consecutive years are entitled to a 7.5% discount on their booth fee for 2017.

1) Assignment of space will be on a first-come, first-served basis according to the date application was received in the FOCUS office. Booth deposit must accompany booth application before a booth is assigned.

2) FOCUS accepts credit cards for payment of booth space

3) FOCUS reserves the right to assign alternate booth locations. If choices 1 - 4 are already assigned, the exhibits coordinator will make an alternate assignment.

4) All payments, whether they be deposits or final payments, can be made by credit card or company check (made out to FOCUS Publications, Inc.) mailed to: FOCUS Publications, Inc. 22 South Parsonage Street Rhinebeck, NY 12572. Applications received without a deposit will not be assigned a booth until deposit is received. The amount of deposit required with initial application is 50% of the total cost of the booth requested.

5) Balances due to FOCUS Publications must be cleared before assignment of exhibit space will be approved.

Cancellations are effective only when received in writing or by e-mail at the office of FOCUS Publications, 22 South Parsonage Street, Rhinebeck, NY 12572 or by e-mail to Anne Felts at [email protected]. For cancellations received prior to 5:00pm EST on January 15, 2017 exhibitor is liable for and agrees to pay FOCUS 50% of assigned booth rental fee. For cancellations received after 5:00pm EST on January 15, 2017, exhibitor is liable for and agrees to pay FOCUS 100% of assigned booth rental fee.

EXHIBITOR BADGES1) FOCUS will issue an official name badge for each exhibitor’s representative based upon the “Badge Request Form” which will be included in the exhibitor service kit. Each exhibiting company is allotted four badges per each 100 square feet of exhibit space. Only the booth manager is authorized to make changes in the allocation of badges. Badges are nontransferable. 2) Each exhibitor will be required to show photo identification to pick up their badge on-site.3) Exhibitor badges worn by anyone other than the individual whose name is shown on the badge face or badges that have been altered by insertion of a business card will be confiscated and the former wearer will be escorted to the nearest exit. 4) Badged exhibitors will have access to the exhibit hall one hour prior to exhibit opening and for one-half hour after closing.5) After the complimentary allotment is filled, additional full-conference exhibitor badges may be purchased for $250 per badge.6) Exhibitor badges allow gratis access to all lectures and educational sessions except for optional (additional fee) workshops occuring on Sunday, May 6th. CEUs for lectures attended will be awarded to exhibitor representatives possessing exhibitor badges. 7) Only persons wearing an official FOCUS name badge will be allowed to enter the exhibit hall. This includes models working in exhibitor booths. To obtain on-site name badges, visit the FOCUS exhibitor service desk. 8) Companies taking 200 square feet of exhibit space or higher will be allowed early set up hours beginning Thursday, May 4th from 4p.m - 8 pm. Companies taking 100 square feet of exhibit space may begin setting up at 7 a.m. on Friday, May 5th. ALL booth set ups must be completed by 3 p.m. on Friday, May 5th.

LOST BADGE FEE AND TEMPORARY WORK PASSESLost badges may be replaced gratis, by visiting the FOCUS Exhibitor Services counter. A registration form must be completed and previous registration will be verified. A picture personal identification will also be required. As regards to temporary work passes, non-official service contractors will be issued a temporary work pass from the FOCUS Exhibitor Services counter beginning Thursday, May 4th at noon. All personnel involved in the set-up and dismantling of your exhibit must be identified, signed-in, and in possession of their identification badge. Work orders will be verified.

The most popular booth draw at the conference. Benefits: The sponsor of this artist will have the artist placed at their booth during all times that the exhibit hall is open. #8: Badge Lanyards Sponsorship Fee: $2,500 Benefits: Attendee badge lanyards will prominently display a company’s name for the duration of the conference. To become the lanyard sponsor, a company may either provide 1500 lanyards and a sponsorship fee of $1000 to Focus by 4/15/2017 or, pay a fee of $2,500 to FOCUS to have FOCUS produce the lanyards. #9: Writing Pens Sponsorship Fee: $1,500 Benefits: A pen will be placed in the registration packet of every attendee and extra pens (for a total of 2,000) will be available in the back of every lecture room. To become the pen sponsor, a company may either provide 2,000 pens and a sponsorship fee of $500 to FOCUS by 4/15/2017 or, pay a fee of $1500 to FOCUS to have FOCUS produce the pens for the company. The sponsorship will also be highlighted in the conference program and includes a full-page color ad (a $1,000 value) in the conference program. #10: Attendee Tote Bags Sponsorship Fee: $2,500 Benefits: A conference tote bag will be given to each attendee upon their check-in at the registration desk. These bags (1,500) will have the sponsor’s name, booth number and logo printed in white on a solid colored bag, on one side of the bag. #11: Hanging Aisle Signs Sponsorship Fee: $3,000 Benefits: Approximately 7 large, 2’ x 4’ aisle signs will be hung from the ceiling of each aisle in the exhibit hall. Your company’s name and booth number will be printed on the bottom 1/3 of these aisle signs so as to be easily seen by all attendees in the hall.
