By using humor Rose George is able to bring light to a very serious health epidemic. Thou shalt

remember all the while that laughter is good.

Rose George does this pretty much as effortlessly as Sir Ken Robinson does in

his speeches

Everyday in the United States we take for granted our access of public toilets

and proper sanitation

George uses graphic images and statistics to make an impact on her

audience such as this one which depicts a public toilet hole in India.

The lack of proper sanitation facilities and toilets is causing people to suffer

from common ailments such as …

The problem with this is that people are dying at an alarming rate from Diarrhea

Many villages and rural countries are experiencing an outbreak of Cholera

from the lack of proper sanitation

You may ask” what can we do to help”? There is a global movement to

provide proper toilets to those affected by this epidemic

In India, a country faced with the issue of not having proper sanitation there is a new movement empowering women

to take a stand

Many are being taught how to install toilets in their villages. In most cases it only takes a few

hours to complete the task

This small change can be the difference between this...

Many volunteers are making an effort to educate those in need. Some actors have even gone on bathroom strikes to

bring light to the issue.

On a scale of 1-5, I would give Rose George a 4 to rate her dynamism. It took guts literally to speak on such a

taboo subject
