The procedure is done under local anaesthesia, which meant that I would be able to hear all that is happening in the mouth, but I will not feel any pain. I was prepared for the step after the procedure was done and the anaesthesia wore off I had to endure the pain which I knew was coming

During the procedure

While the procedure is being conducted, I just kept my mind busy and tried to think about other things. Being calm, composed and practical during the root canal is best way to be.Keeping yourself distracted is the best way to get through this procedure.

Do not anticipate painAs your tooth gets removed and you are fitted with a cap in its place, you are bound to feel pain after the effect of the anaesthesia wears off. However, if you are going to wait for the pain it is going to get much worse than it would normally be. You have to give yourself and your teeth enough rest to be able to deal with the pain. Sleeping through the recovery can be your best bet.
