Ron Kwaske is a registered architect and artisan with a
special interest in digital technology for architectural
document production. Being hands on with training in
carpentry and concrete construction, he translates these
skills as a method of problem solving in an effort to refine the
way design intent is communicated.
Ron designs with constructability in mind, understanding
costs, methods, and the ways systems work, embracing the
old adage of architect as master builder.
With years of experience in BIM technologies, his practice
relies extensively on digital modeling for both presentation
and document production and he is a strong advocate for
cloud computing.
Presently, he is exploring new methods of document
production more suitable for the digital age.

7 EDUCATION
Graduate Studies – Illinois Institute of Technology 2002 - 2004 Thesis: A design proposal for a super thin, tall residential building using the beauty of math to influence the aesthetic. The design aesthetic originates from the golden rectangle, which, systematically disintegrates along its z axis toward the top. The program stipulates high end residential design with limited building and community amenities including particular attention to family living with a specific focus on a child-friendly environment.
Bachelor of Architecture with honors – Illinois Institute of Technology 1991 - 1996 with honors
Thesis: Master plan design proposal for the conversion of the high rise Robert Taylor Homes housing project (Chicago) into a low rise mixed use development with matching housing densities. The community plan included approximately 1,000 units with hard surface roads, micro and macro green spaces, schools, and necessary commerce.
Features included: all housing with living rooms facing south into private green gardens, each home having an integral garage with minimal on-street parking. The environment advocated a pleasing yet safe landscape which was to be fully walkable within a human scale.
