20 GENERAL AND SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION

GENERAL INFORMATIONCONGRESS SECRETARIATEach day, the Congress Secretariat will be at your disposal at the Congress Venue from March 27 at 09.00 a.m. until the end of Scientific Sessions.

CONGRESS VENUE The Scientific Sessions will be held at the Congress Centre of the Rome Cavalieri Hotel (Via Cadlolo 101 - Rome).

OPENING CEREMONYThe Opening Ceremony will be held on March 27 at 16.30 at the Congress Venue.

BADGEAll registered Participants will get a badge at the registration desk and are kindly requested to wear it in order to participate in all scientific sessions and visit the exhibition area.

ATTENDANCE CERTIFICATES Attendance certificates are delivered on request at the Congress Secretariat to all registered Participants at the end of the scientific sessions on March 29.Certificates will be delivered for the real attended day/s, only.

SPONSORS EXHIBITION A technical, pharmaceutical and publication exhibition will take place at the Congress Venue during the Congress.

(1) A reduced fee is offered to Graduates from Medical School, Residents in all Medical Fields, non FMSI Members. Certificate to be shown.

(2) The Registration Fee is free for Physiotherapists, Sports Massage Therapists, Sports Scientists and Psychologists, who have paid the FMSI Membership fee of €50,00 and who registered to the Congress before December 31, 2018. Otherwise, to access to the reduced fee it will be necessary to present a copy of the qualification along with the registration form.

22 GENERAL AND SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDSAny request for cancellation must be sent in writing to the Organizing Secretariat. Cancellations sent before February 25, 2019 give the right to the reimbursement of the fees paid. The 30% will be kept for administrative expenses. All refunds of the fees will be managed 60 days after the end of the Congress.No refund will be accepted after February 25, 2019.

ORAL AND POSTER PRESENTATIONSThe XXXVI National Congress of Sports Medicine welcomes the submission of original contributions in the area of Sports Medicine as oral communications or posters.An abstract must be submitted for every scientific contribution and it must be sent exclusively on-line within and not later than December 15, 2018 through the specific format available on FMSI website (www.fmsi.it/XXXVI-National-Congress > Program > Abstract).Regardless of their scientific content, the abstracts sent in both printed or typed format that are not in compliance with the rules indicated online or sent after the above mentioned deadline will not be taken into account.The received works will be chosen by a special FMSI Commission that will establish the modality of the presentation (oral communication or poster presentation).Moreover, the FMSI Commission will pick out the best oral communication and the best poster presentation that will receive an award.The AIM Organizing Secretariat will communicate the acceptance of the work directly to the abstract’s author indicating the modality and the date of the presentation.Key operative instruction below:The presentation of the scientific program – oral communication or poster presentation – during the period of the Congress is subject to the formalization of the registration to the Congress by one of the abstract’s authors at least.Everyone who registers to the congress will be able to be the author or co-author of many scientific contributions but he/she will be able to present only one in a specific session.If one of the authors of the oral communication or the poster presentation is an invited speaker or a moderator, the presentation of the abstract is subject to the registration with the complete fee of one of the co-authors.

FMSI CREDITSThe participation in the FMSI National Congress allows Participants to get 30 training credits. Remember that the maintenance of Aggregate Member’s status is subject to the effective participation to the institutional, training and professional update activities of FMSI (“FMSI Training credits” chart). In order to obtain the FMSI credits, it is required to present the participation certificate given at the Congress venue at the end of the scientific session.

ITALIAN CME CREDITS Continuous Medical EducationThe Congress is part of the 2019 Annual Training Plan for the FMSI – Provider 1592 (www.fmsi.it) and will be registered at the National Commission for the Continuous Education for the following specialties:

◉ Medicine and Surgery: all specialties ◉ Physiotherapists

No training credits will be assigned for specialties not mentioned above.

UEMS / EACCME CREDITSAn application will be submitted to the EACCME for CME accreditation of this event.

LANGUAGE OF THE CONGRESSThe Congress will be in Italian and English with simultaneous translation.

PROJECTIONSAt the Congress venue only the projection from PC is allowed. It is absolutely forbidden to use your own PC.
