RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Congratulations to all of the First Holy Communicants who received

Jesus in the Eucharist for the very first time last Sunday. This is also

a special occasion for all the people of St. Stanislaus Parish because,

as we observe their joy, we are reminded of the significance of the

Eucharist in our own lives. At this time, the parish would also like to

express gratitude to their parents and their teachers. They did an

outstanding job preparing these young people to receive this

beautiful sacrament. Please keep all of them in your prayers.

The following young people received their First Communion:

Samantha Mowry, Rocco DeMaio, III, Darek Samsel, Susan

Szewczyk, Olivia Pienkosz and David Blair.

Also, a heart felt thank you to all those who have been involved with

the religious education program this year: teachers, classroom aides

and hall monitors. With patience and love you have helped to

enkindle and grow a love for Jesus and His Church in the young

people of our parish. In a special way, we would like to thank Fr.

Anthony Kuzia, C.M., the Director of Religious Education, for his

sacrifices and dedication in co-ordinating the program.

Beloved Mothers,

On this the occasion of your important Feast, Mothers’ Day,

in the name of Fr. Anthony, Fr. Stanley and myself I desire to

thank you from the bottom of my heart for the miracle of your

motherly hearts – for the love, the goodness, the self-sacrifice and

devotion that only Mothers may have. I wish you good health as

well as the abundant blessings of God. May the Blessed Mother

who is the example of motherly love surround you with her care.

Fr. Tadeusz

Kochane Mamy

Z okazji dzisiejszego Waszego święta, w imieniu Ks.

Antoniego, Ks. Stanisława i własnym, pragnę Wam z całego serca

bardzo serdecznie podziękować za cud Waszego matczynego

serca. Za miłość, dobroć, poświęcenie, oddanie jakie dać

możecie tylko Wy Kochane Mamy. Życzę Wam dobrego

zdrowia oraz obfitości Bożego błogosławieństwa. Niech swoją

opieką otacza Was Matka Najświętsza, która jest wzorem

matczynej miłości.

Ks. Tadeusz

CIAŁO I KREW

Nauka Jezusa o spożywaniu Jego ciała i piciu Jego krwi była

trudna do zrozumienia i przyjęcia. Nie zapominajmy o tym, że

Stary Testament bardzo wyraźnie zakazuje jej spożycia. W niej,

jak wierzono, znajduje się życie (por. Rdz 9, 4). Jezus natomiast,

wbrew tej tradycji, mówi o konieczności spożywania Jego ciała i

picia Jego krwi. Poruszenie, które wywołał, jest więc całkowicie

zrozumiałe. Zdawał On sobie z tego sprawę, ale mimo wszystko

nie zrezygnował z nauczania. W Jego krwi jest bowiem życie i

pragnie On, abyśmy się nim krzepili. Także i dzisiaj Jezusowa

nauka o Jego ciele i krwi nie przestała szokować. Choć z jednej

strony oswoiliśmy się z nią, to jeśli się głębiej nad nią

zastanowimy, musi nas ona poruszyć. Bóg pragnie być

spożywany przez swoje stworzenie, pragnie przekształcać je i

stwarzać od wewnątrz.

Panie Jezu, w Twoim ciele i w Twojej krwi jest nasze życie. Niech

BETHLEHEM WOOD CARVING

Bethlehem Wood Carving will be visiting our parish on behalf of

the Catholic Christian family of the Holy Land after all Masses

today. For centuries, the Christians of Bethlehem district have

earned a living by carving olive wood religious art to sell it to

visiting pilgrims. Fewer pilgrims are journeying to the Holy Land

today, making it difficult for Christian artisans to support their

families by the dignified work of their hands in the land of

Christ’s birth. Because of the lack of work, there has been a

dramatic rise in Christian emigration from the Holy Land. Now

less than 2% of the population in the Holy Land is still Christian.

Since the start of its mission Bethlehem Wood Carving has

helped hundreds of struggling families. Louie, by virtue of his

own experience as founder, has made it possible for the Catholic

Christians in the Holy Land to maintain both their livelihoods and

their ancestral homes in the land of Christ. Your purchase will

make a difference in the lives of many Christians. We gladly

accept all major credit cards, checks and cash.

PARISH MEMBERSHIP: Registering at St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr

Church is the foremost expression of your commitment to being part of our parish community. Being a registered parishioner also makes the process much simpler when it’s time to receive sacraments, register for religious education, to be entitled to the parish or the Hartford Archdiocesan tuition offered at a Catholic school for parish-registered Catholics, to sponsor a sacrament recipient, or even to plan church ministries. Church law no longer limits parish registration within particular boundaries. Make your commitment to St. Stanislaus BM Church, REGISTER!

PRZYNALEŻNOŚĆ DO PARAFII: Zapisując się do parafii dajesz wyraz poczucia

przynależności do lokalnej społeczności kościoła, św.
