RODELILLO FOUNDATION We are an organization:

1. With a model of social co-construction to overcome the vulnerabilities of human beings – as part of a family, a local community and society.

2. which recognizes ethically the human right to live in a family and to take charge of one´s life.

3. Which generates integral social responses that promote the latent protagonism of people.

4. Which has commited itself to engender self-sustance and sustainability from Rodelillo´s own know-how and inspiration.

Page 4: Rodelillo foundation

It´s a social process which arises from the baseof any society – its families.

• In Rodelillo, social co-construction is the cement bond of social equity and inclusion that we seek to strengthen through acts of co-construction we help to raise and legitimize the voice of each and every social actor.

• To be able to articulate social co-construction we seek out the will and good faith of persons and organizations in order to create social solutions in alliances with other actors.

What is “social co-construction”?

Who and what actors take part in our social co-construction?

Page 6: Rodelillo foundation

How do we articulate social co-construction?

• To co-construct a diagnosis, we seek a broad diversity of the voices interacting within any system: Families, educational institutions, local officials, faith communities, police, professional organizations, etc.

• To co-construct a social project we seek to identify all of the relevant factors which combine to create problems or risk situations, beyond what Rodelillo itself can contribute.

• In this way, families and Rodelillo work teams co-construct processes of inclusion, expansion and protagonism – generating resources, developing solutions , negotiating opportunities in conjunction with existing networks, local government, churches, universities and civic groups.

Page 7: Rodelillo foundation

Ethics and social commitment guide our every decision

• Each family is a self-defined group who share a family identity.• We recognize the tremendous power of the bonds of love and

affection existing between and among members of the family.• We respect the privacy and confidentiality of each family.• Rodelillo cherishes all human rights and freedoms.• We seek integral, non-assistentialistic, definitive solutions. •Ethics is a manifestation of love and respect in the social arena. Ethics allows us to understand our world with fresh . This also allows us to trust in the capacities of each human being, even when these are still in a latent state of protagonism.

Page 8: Rodelillo foundation

Recognizing the human right to enterprise:

• Means recognizing that every person, every family and every enterprise has a reason for being in society and understanding that in all societies there exists a diversity of poverties, each one of which having its own unique set of challenges.

• Thus for a social leader wishing to address poverty and social exclusion in a profound way, it is fundamental that her/his work be integral and involve all sectors of society- families, business, local government , public policy, education, civic and faith organizations.

• Any social intervention which is fragmented or partial tends to became transformed into another cause of maintaining poverty and the status quo.

Page 9: Rodelillo foundation

For Rodelillo, poverty implies the lack of a protagonistic, integrally- nourished family. Poverty, said another way, is a historic patrimony of families who do not exist, do not have, do not belong, and cannot gain access. In such a context, we see poverty as the greatest denial of human rights throughout the world. Rodelillo recognizes the great diversity of poverties and vulnerabilities in society. Moreover, we perceive their interconnectedness. For this very reason, we recognize the necessity that social inroads be co-constructed, by means of inclusive solutions.

OUR FUNDAMENTAL DEFINITION

Page 10: Rodelillo foundation

How to reverse the historial experience of poverty • The Rodelillo teams establish with new families from their very first encounter a

relation ship which replaces the paternalistic relationship with one oriented to generate social trust.

• We seek to strengthen the bonds of affection, common identity and love between and among members of self-defined family groups.

• We work to (re-) unite family groups around the creation of their own unique Family Action Plan.

• We help families to take inventory of their dreams, strengths, talents and desires – i.e., that which they possess, at least in latent from. And not in what they do not or lack.

• We help families to focus in their capabilities and protagonostics potentials to make decisions and choose solutions to be acted upon to take charge of their live and destinies.

• In this unique project co-construction, the families achieve a revivifying personal experience of being alive, being worthy, of having, of belonging and being able to gain access to a belter future.
