Sonar D-edge ceiling tiles are installed in a concealed, suspended or direct fixed grid system. The concealed solution provides the finished ceiling with a calm, elegant appearance and the bevelled edges contribute to perfect alignment of the joints. The D-edge solution allows you to hide service installations above the ceiling, yet provides easy access to them as the ceiling tiles are demountable. The perfect combination of a monolithic expression and the benefits of easy maintenance.

Sonar with D-edge can be installed using RockLink System Z or RockLink 24 Monolith grid systems. RockLink 24 Monolith allows for faster installation with fewer components and fixings. This system can be used for 600x600 modules.

The new range of Rockfon ceiling tiles developed for bandraster profiles

provides you with even more design freedom. The use of bandraster profiles

enables the creation of flexible interior environments where partition walls can

be installed according to the needs of the building users at any time, without

compromising the ceiling expression. This makes for efficient use of open plan

office space, “white space”.

Rockfon Sonar tiles for bandraster profiles are also well suited for corridors where long

and wide formats can provide an elegant appearance. The wider bandraster profiles

also allows for installation of lighting and signage – all in all, a highly flexible and

Rockfon SONARTM LUNA

PROduCt dESCRiPtiON

Rockfon Sonar Luna is a matt black ceiling tile ideal for spaces where darkness is prefered – cinemas, theatres, dark rooms, etc. Sonar Luna is available with the concealed D-edge and the semi-concealed E-edge. Installed in black or even aluminum grid, both expressions give the ceiling a distinct look. Both solutions are fully demountable.

A big advantage of the Sonar Luna D-edge in auditoriums and cimemas is the full concealment of the grid thereby erradicating the often problematic reflections and glare from the screen and exposed grid system.

SOuNd AbSORPtiONThe sound absorption properties of Rockfon Silence are vital to creating the appropriate

room acoustics. Using hard surfaces in the remaining construction can mean that the

suspended ceiling is the only absorber. If so, good sound absorbing properties are

to be desired.
