FISHT Stadium• The FISHT Stadium is located in the celebrated

Olympic Park of Imeretinskiy Resort district of Sochi.This famous new venue was built before the 2014Winter Olympics in Sochi and hosted the GrandOpening and Closing Ceremonies of the XXII WinterOlympic Games and the XI Winter Paralympic Games.It has been rebuilt and expanded since then to housemore football spectators during the 2017 FIFAConfederation Cup events and 2018 FIFA World CupRussia

• The stadium’s current capacity is 45,000 seats

• The stadium is named after Mount Fisht (meaning ‘awhite head’ in an ancient Caucasus language) which islocated in the western part of the Main CaucasianRange

Location of the FISHT Stadium

• The Fisht Stadium’s position in relation to Sochi downtown and KrasnayaPolyana is shown in the map. The route starts in the center of Sochi and runsto the Southern district, where the stadium is. Then the route turns north andleads to the mountains of Krasnaya Polyana. One can get to the stadium inseveral ways.

• The first (most recommended) option is to take a suburban train from SochiRailway Station to the Olympic Park Station (the train’s final stop). From thispoint one can walk across or around the Olympic Park right to the FishtStadium (as there are many route signs, nobody can get lost). Usually ittakes 40-45 minutes to get from Sochi downtown to the Olympic Park Stationby train. A walk from the Olympic Park train station to the Fisht Stadium takesabout 15-20 minutes. The train is FREE for those who has a football ticketand a Fan ID.

• The second option is to take a taxi to the stadium. It is not very expensive,but it is not cheap either. The travel time is approximately the same.However, traffic jams are very likely on days of popular events, so it would bequicker to go by train. The walking time to the stadium depends on where youdrop off the taxi. (Tip: ask the cab driver to stop at the seaside entrance to thestadium).

Olympic ParkThe park is open for visiting daily from 8:00 a.m. till 12:00 at night. The

entrance is free. The Olympic Park is vast open area, nearly 200 hectares(2.000.000m²). So we recommend you to use your own vehicles or rentelectric carts, bicycles, roller skates, segways, etc., to move across andaround faster inside the park. The best time to visit the Olympic Park is duringand after the sunset. During the day the weather normally gets warmer, so forsome visitors it may be rather challenging to walk fast in the sunshine. If youcome to the park after 06:00 p.m. you will enjoy the beautiful sunset as well asthe bright city lights wherever you look.

FestivalniyConcert Hall

Festivalniy Concert hall for more than 2500 seats isone of the must-see of the resort city of Sochi and is inthe Top 10 of the largest concert venues in Russia. Thehall project was designed at the State University of theMinistry of Culture of the USSR. The first Festivalniynight was staged on July 14, 1979. The Festivalniy hallheaters music of symphonic orchestras; performances ofvarious choreographic teams and well-known stars ofRussia and the world. Since its construction, more than7,000,000 spectators have attended over 4,000 eventsin Festivalniy. Winter Theatre

In November 11, 1937, the grand theatre of Sochi,known as the Winter theatre, was constructed by afamous Soviet architect. 88 columns encircle thebuilding, following the Greek architectural tradition. Thetheatre capacity is 946 seats. The building is painted intwo colors – yellowish-golden and white. The interior isdecorated with a huge magnificent chandelier withcrystal pendants. The theatre is 4 km from the citycenter; 7 km from the railway station and 0.5 km fromthe sea beach. The building is surrounded bywonderful parks with walking trails.

Russian International Olympic University

The Russian International Olympic University (RIOU)is a non-for-profit organization that was established onOctober 21, 2009. RIOU is the world's first universityoffering unique sport administration programs, infusedwith Olympic values and best practices. The university'smain educational product is a one-year Masters courseof Sport Administration (MSA). RIOU's activitiesconcentrate on training specialists in sportsmanagement for the Russian and international sportsindustry. University also offers a wide range of short-term programs. RIOU campus can accommodate up to500 students at any time.

Stalin’s DachaStalin’s Dacha in Sochi is one of the 18 countryside

residences of that Soviet-era political leader (though theexact number is not known, most historians tend to refer tothis figure). It is believed that Stalin liked the Black Seacoast and loved his Sochi dacha much more than others.Nowadays, the dacha is a kind of a small museum, wherevery little has changed since the Stalin time. Its exteriorand interiors, as well as the surrounding gardens remainthe same as Stalin liked them, except for the trees (theyhave grown). The first thing that catches your eye, is thelack of royal luxury. There is nothing of expensive paintingsor exquisite furniture; everything is simple and nearlyascetic: historians say, this was the precise style Stalinused to prefer and enjoy. The facade of the building ispainted in the discreet dull green for safety reasons, not tobe easily spotted from the air

Agura CanyonThe Agura Canyon is located 4 km from the Black Sea

coast, and a 20-minute drive from Sochi. It is a part of theSochi National Park, famous for its unique nature and a largeamount of rare plants. The Agura river is running along theAgura Canyon for 10 km. The canyon is rich in whatever thelocal nature can be proud of: small lakes and river bays,panoramic views, big caves and 200 meter high rocks. A hikingtrail along the Agura canyon was established yet during theczarist rule. In the early 20 century, enthusiasts from themountain club founded a trail to waterfalls. Today, the path,cut straight in the rocks, stretches for 2.5 km. For each tourist,the goal of a hike through the Agura Canyon is to see its mainattraction, the picturesque waterfalls

AJ Hackett SkyparkThis is the first in Russia adventure park at the high-altitude,

established by the founder of bungee jumping, AJ Hackett andthe joint Russian-New Zealand venture. The park is located in theSochi National Park, in the picturesque place of the Akhshtyrgorge, in the valley of the Mzymta river on the way to KrasnayaPolyana. In the centre of the park, there is the longest hangingSky Bridge in the world, 439 meters long, along which you cantake an exciting walk enjoying magnificent panoramic views fromthe height of 207 m. Rosa Khutor Resort

Rosa Khutor – is a ski-resort in the village of Estosadok(Krasnaya Polyana district) in Sochi. On the slopes of theRosa Khutor, apart from the ski tracks, there is aprofessionally build Extreme Park for freestyle. The totalcapacity of the complex is 17,750 people. Starting from thewinter season 2013/2014, the total length of all tracks forskiing has been developed up to 77 km of various difficulty –for both experts and beginners. Nowadays Rosa Khutor plansto increase the total length of tracks by building new ones. Theheights difference is 1,534 m, and this resort owns 18 cableways. The current artificial snow-making system is the largestin Europe and covers more than 100 hectares (1,000,000 m²)of the resort's skiing area. Using the system of artificial snow-making, the duration of the ski season is guaranteed up to 180days per year. Rosa Khutor’s peak is 2,320 m above the sealevel and is the highest in Krasnaya Polyana district.

RusSki Gorki is a ski jumping complex in the Russianvillage of Estosadok, built before the Winter OlympicGames in 2014 for competitions in Nordic Combinedskiing and Ski Jumping.
