III... FFFIIILLLMMM IIINNNVVVEEESSSTTTMMMEEENNNTTT RRRIIISSSKKK::: Independent films are high-risk investments. While there is the potential for huge returns, not every film is successful. The best way to reduce the risk of your investment is to educate yourself on every aspect of the film and to only invest in projects that you think will be successful. It has historically been true that in hard economic times the entertainment wins out. People want to be entertained and forget their troubles. Motion pictures are our most populist form of visual art. Necessary to selling a film is a mix of elements, although the story is always the main concern.

IIIIII... SSSUUUMMMMMMAAARRRYYY::: GENRE: Historical-Political Drama/Love Story/Light Musical TARGET AUDIENCES: PG - PG13 TYPE: 120-minutes Feature Motion Picture PRE-PRODUCTION: Three months in L.A. upon financing PRINCIPAL PHOTOGRAPHY: Eight weeks in Czech Republic and USA POST-PRODUCTION: Seven months in New York IIIIIIIII... MMMIIISSSSSSIIIOOONNN::: Theatrical Release worldwide. A script of a movie is the basic foundation. A good movie storyline and a well-made script are at the heart of every successful picture. We are not looking for a $200 million budget picture, but for a story that captures our hearts. That is why we always remember the great films as is the forever-alive “Casablanca.” It is also the most comparable picture to the “Rise of Dawn.”

IIIVVV... IIINNNVVVEEESSSTTTMMMEEENNNTTT::: WHEN: We are ready at any time to enter pre-production immediately followed by Principal Photography. TAX INCENTIVES: CZECH REPUBLIC - 8 weeks of Principal Photography. The Czech Film Industry Support Programme offers film makers rebates of up to 20 percent on their production-related costs spent in the Czech Republic. The Czech Republic hasn’t yet adopted the Euro. Its currency, the Czech Koruna, is another financial advantage for filming in Czech Republic.

Media Links – “The Illusionist”

Hollywood on the Vltava (Globeandmail.com, Marek Miller, 2005-08-27)

The Czech capital was selected for the shooting of The Illusionist, a Bull's Eye Entertainment film starring Edward Norton. "We were looking where we could get the biggest bang for our buck that also would make sense creatively," Los Angeles-based Garnett said."It was a $17-million (U.S.) movie but we wanted it to look like a $40-million movie.”

VVV... IIINNNVVVEEESSSTTTMMMEEENNNTTT SSSEEECCCUUURRRIIITTTYYY::: PRINCIPALS: Experienced producers with successful track record will be responsible for smoothly running production from beginning to completion and beyond, including distribution. Executive producer will be responsible for the financial matters, and will be appointed upon financing. Award winning directors will secure the creative part of the picture. GENRE: “Traditionally, war films, musicals and historical dramas have been the most popular genres.” en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest-grossing_films. Rise of Dawn is a political/historical drama/romance/light musical with a suspenseful plot. It doesn’t involve war, but it involves Russian invasion of Prague in 1968 – a similar event to the recent Ukraine issue. RATING: PG and PG-13 pictures have the highest range of audiences. FILM COMPLETION GUARANTEE: Completion guarantee will be purchased upon financing. It provides financiers with the service that gives them an assurance that the film will be delivered on time and that the over-budget costs would not be the financier’s responsibility. PUBLICITY: Publicity will commence upon entering pre-production. The press will raise awareness about the topic of our film. If the film is a narrative about historical events, real people, or fictional people struggling with a real-life issue, then we have a social theme to which potential audience members will relate. UNIQUE REAL-LIFE STORY: Truth is stranger than fiction… Real life is more fascinating… Day to day events are better than false movies or actions.

USA TODAY: Hollywood Catching Its Big Break in Other Countries. Hollywood remains an American fixture, but it’s becoming more of an international commodity. Today, international moviegoers make up almost 70% of a movie's overall business, the Motion Picture Association of America reports. Over the past four years, international box office surged from $27.7 billion to $34.7 billion in 2012, according to the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America.) A list of Oscar winning U.S. movies of the same nature as the Rise of Dawn. What do these movies have in common? The stories explore a different culture and a different history. THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL (2014), European story. The highest-grossing Indies film in 2014; filmed in Babelsberg Studio, Germany. American/German/British co-production. Won 4 Oscars, 114 other wins. THE PIANIST (2002) story from Poland. 3 Oscars, 49 other wins. Dir. Roman Polanski; Company Heritage Films ARGO (2012) story from USA and Iran. 3 Oscars, 66 wins; Dir. Ben Affleck; Company Warner Bros THE ILLUSIONIST (2006) story from Austria. 1 Oscar, 6 wins; Dir. Neil Burger; Company Bull’s Eye Entertainment. US/Czech Republic picture. AMADEUS (1984) story from Austria. 8 Oscars, 33 wins; Dir. Milos Forman; Company AMLF. Filming locations Czech Republic. GANDHI (1982) story from India. 8 Oscars, 30 wins. Dir. TROY (2004) story from Greece. 1 Oscar, 3 wins; Dir. Wolfgang Peterson; Company Warner Brothers. SEVEN YEARS IN TIBET (1997) story from Tibet about Austrian mountain climber. 1 Golden Globe, 3 wins. Dir. Jean-Jacques Annaud; Company Mandalay Entertainment. ANNA KARENINA (2012) story from Russia. 1 Oscar, 15 wins. Dir. Joe Wright; Company Universal Pictures. WAR AND PEACE story from Russia. 6 remakes by U.S. productions; Numerous Oscars. YENTL (1983) story from Poland. 1 Oscar, 5 wins; Dir. Barbara Streisand; Company United Artists. Filming locations Czech Republic. SCHINDLER’S LIST (1993) story from Poland. 5 Oscars, 70 other wins. Dir. Steven Spielberg. THE MOST COMPARABLE PICTURES TO THE “RISE OF DAWN” ARE: CASABLANCA. European story from French Morocco became a classic. The great cast is helpful but a good story is the foundation. There is nothing American in the story, except for one character, Rick. Ilsa was Norwegian and her husband Czech. The story was based on fiction by Murray Burnett who called it “true yesterday, true today, true tomorrow.” The Rise of Dawn story proves that he was right. DOCTOR ZHIVAGO. Russian story written by a Russian writer.

Both films remain popular for decades and were two of the highest-grossing films of all time.

ONE DOESN’T SET OUT TO MAKE A CLASSIC, ONE SETS OUT TO MAKE A MOVIE

Choice in films of this genre is quite limited and yet, it is extremely popular. This was proved by a German Motion Picture, “The Lives of Others,” released in German language in 2006. The film won Oscar, another 65 wins and 23 nominations. Other picture of this kind is “Life is Beautiful,” Oscar winning picture for foreign film, released in Italian language, German and English. None of the two pictures had Hollywood A-list star in. May these examples prove that A-list star can help to a better return, but it cannot rescue Return on Investment if the story is bad. VVVIII... MMMAAARRRKKKEEETTT AAANNNDDD DDDIIISSSTTTRRRIIIBBBUUUTTTIIIOOONNN::: Worldwide distribution commitment in place.

The principals of RISE OF DAWN are heading for worldwide theatrical release. This requires absolute excellence in filmmaking and original ideas that capture the whole world. Not only the U.S. For, 70% accounts for International Market; the remaining 30% for North America. Theatrical release is important to us because box office revenue is controllable and it is the fastest Return on Investment. CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2011: International movie revenues now account for two-thirds of a blockbuster’s total receipts. As a result, films are being made with overseas audiences in mind — from story to casting to setting. Even animated films substitute vocal talent, characters and humor country by country. When I went into Savage Lagoon production with $500K, I knew I can not make a blockbuster for that money. To my great surprise, the film was screened in Cannes, AFM and Egyptian Theater in Hollywood before it went into worldwide distribution.

MARIEANNA DVORAK has been involved in the entertainment Business since the age of five. She is highly educated in all aspects of filmmaking. Her experience spans from theatre to film in Europe, the USA and Australia. Her last film has been distributed worldwide and received significant recognition.

MarieAnna was born in a little Czech village near the Austrian border to a mother with strong religious beliefs. She didn’t choose her career. It was given to her at birth. For, by the age of five she was already standing on a theatre stage performing and sharing her feelings with audiences by reciting the poetry of classical poets. As a child-poet, she regularly recited her own poetry on a radio station. This childhood career led to the performing in stage plays as well as to the directing children stage plays. By the age of sixteen, she had the honor

to host the film festival in Zlin with attendance of 100,000 visitors. She was the youngest host in the festival history.

However, as a young adult her career was severely hampered by the communist regime in power at the time, where religion was against the party and human rights were meaningless.

Moving to the United States and at her new home in New York, she continued her acting career in Theatre Astoria by the side of top stars from her native country. There she also met her countryman, director Milos Forman.

“It all begins in the script. If what's happening is interesting, it doesn't matter where you shoot from, people will be interested to watch. If you write something boring, you can film from mosquitoes’ underpants and it will still be boring.” --Milos FormanMilos FormanMilos FormanMilos Forman

Dvorak’s career in performing arts was destined to take a second seat to a career behind camera. She studied film directing and producing under several notable film scribes. But her greatest teacher was Domenic DiMascio, a lecturer at Columbia College, and editor for Universal and Disney as well as a panel judge for the Emmy and Golden Real Nominations. Dvorak’s talent captured his attention in 1990 at Golden State School, CA, where Dvorak studied film directing. Mr. DiMascio stood by her side for 10 years and taught her every aspect of filmmaking from pre-production to completion. MarieAnna successfully created short films and documentaries before she eventually secured financing for her first U.S. feature. Under her company, BOHEMIAN PRODUCTIONS, she produced and directed BOHEMIAN MOON aka SAVAGE LAGOON. This $2M budget film was produced for $680,000 as it was the only alternative given by the investor. The picture was completed on time and it was screened in Cannes, Disney Studio, AFM and the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. It was distributed internationally by Echelon Studios.

Even though Domenic taught editing with Avid at the Film School I attended, we edited Bohemian Moon on film, which means with moviola. The Cannes Market was approaching and there wasn’t either time or money for transferring from Avid to Film. In 1999 the cinemas weren’t adjusted yet to the digital technology. It was fascinating experience. Unforgettable. Crazy.

I salute to the Golden Age of Hollywood. In the dark room, and in the maze of immense length of film footage, the filmmakers learned the real Art of the Motion Picture. Thank you, Dom.

FILMING with animals and on/under water is time-consuming process. The odds are against you if you lack of funds. Keep up with the shooting schedule is essential; otherwise you may end up with unfinished film.

MUSICIANS:

PATRICK SAVAGE – Music score

The RISE of DAWN is a film where rock n roll meets with classical music. The expressive songs from the hippie era had hit the whole society deeply - made people think, dream, made them feel as one people. Rise of Dawn will bring back this emotion that is disappearing.

The music score, combined with music of great classical composers, will add depth to the film.

Patrick is an Australian-born film composer and violinist best known for his collaboration with Holeg Spies on the score for The Human Centipede.

He was also formerly principal first violin with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London, UK. The former student of the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne and the Royal College of Music in London, he now lives in London and collaborates regularly on scores with French composer Holeg Spies.

14

14

THE MUSIC SCORE WILL BE PLAYED BY PRAGUE PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA.

The Prague Philharmonic Orchestra was established in 1995 by Czech musicians with the German conductor Friedemann Riehle. The Prague Philharmonic Orchestra quickly developed into one of the leading orchestras for CD-recording in Europe. The orchestra plays about 200 recording sessions every year. The Prague Philharmonic Orchestra works with labels such as Decca, EMI, Sony BMG and many international film studios.

OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM HAS THE ABILITY AND ADVANTAGE TO PRODUCE A FILM OF EXEPTIONAL QUALITY AT THE LOWER COST THAT CAN COMPETE IN APPEAL WITH HIGH-BUDGET FILMS OF THE SAME GENRE.

VVVIIIIIIIII... CCCAAASSSTTT

Statement of Grainger David, Future Magazine: "We can't find evidence that stars help a movie, and we can't find evidence that bigger budgets increase return on investment.”

Casting of a high quality production, such as Rise of Dawn, is a time-consuming process. It is an art that requires an eye and a deep feel for talent. Correctly cast actors have the wind of a perfect match fully in their sails and the result is an artwork that sails fast on an even keel. Therefore casting, including A-list stars, will be held upon financing by the Film Directors, Producers, and Casting Directors.

DAMIAN MCGINTY in role of LUCAS (Ireland) – actor/singer

Damian McGinty has been performing for over a decade, and was a member of the group Celtic Thunder for four years starting when he was fourteen. He won the Oxygen reality show The Glee Project, earning him seventeen-episodes. McGinty worked with former Celtic Thunder cast-mate Paul Byrom in PBS special, “This is the Moment,” and then he appeared with child prodigy Ethan Bortnick in Ethan’s special, “The Power of Music,” which went on to be a #1 concert pledge show on PBS. I watched and studied Damian since he wore braces. I watched him to change from year to year and becoming one of the greatest singer and dancer in the world. He is also a good actor. I know every his facial expression and body movement, and he is mighty colorful. He is in the same age as the real character of

the Rise of Dawn film was. “We can’t go back. Please don’t trust them. I will not submit to the regime. I will not become another of their puppets. One of the many rules of the totalitarian system is repeated arrests and imprisonment of persons opposing the regime.” SUPPORTINGS:

IIIXXX... SSSTTTOOORRRYYY RISE OF DAWN screenplay is protected by U.S. Office Library of Congress and WGA registration. Most of the story is documented in Archive of sealed folders in Czech Republic. It has historically been true that in hard economic times the entertainment wins out. People want to be entertained and forget their troubles. Motion pictures are our most populist form of visual art. Necessary to selling a film is a mix of elements, although the story is always the main concern. PLOT: The story of politics, romance and espionage is set against the backdrop of differences between democracy and totalitarianism. SYNOPSIS: The Rise of Dawn is a true historical/political love story, and one that dramatically charts the lives of a stage actress and a hockey player who herald from two contrasting regimes. Even though the picture opens with the Russian invasion of Prague in 1968, the first half of the story takes place in New York and Atlanta where everything seemingly comes easy to the lives of our main characters. However, their happiness is suddenly and violently put on hold when the second half of the film unfolds. It takes place in Prague during the totalitarian system. Despite the strong political theme, the main thrust of the story is their true love for each other. It helps them to survive the cruelty and persecution of the regime and inspires them with the courage to risk their lives and go on. A good story is not enough in this time of high competition and tight economy. Therefore the screen writers added a delightful entertainment value to the film, such as beautiful era hit songs from the 1960’s – 70’s, as well as exciting festive dancing. The Rise of Dawn is a historical piece, a character-driven drama and romance, cinematic in sweep and style. It also contains in various spots memorable strains of meltingly beautiful classical music that evoke visions of long-ago times when people lived in peace and freedom within the golden city of spires and cobbled streets that is Prague. The delicate words of classical playwrights and opera aria are deeply moving and inspiring.

Movies with historical themes profoundly effect public perception of the past. Especially nowadays, when the world is going through several political crises, the story of Rise of Dawn will be well-received and appreciated. It offers not only immense entertainment but also an essential message that highlights the remarkable political differences existent in our world today. Through its cinematic telling, the picture shows how these differences strongly and often irrevocably affect those human lives over whom they hold power and influence. It manifests a host of opposing ideas and emotions including faith and betrayal, happiness and desperation, and the hopeless struggle for survival and battle for justice. But the most dominant emotion is that of love and of its triumph over even the greatest of odds. No matter if it be the immense love that people hold for each other or the irrefutable love we feel for country and home. Love is all! The Rise of Dawn story proves that history really repeats itself. Truthfulness of the Rise of Dawn story is documented in archive since the fall of the Iron Curtain. REMEMBER! The over-spacious room is a work of art - a masterpiece of the 18th century. It reflects the Bohemian history and life of nobility. Acedia opens a window and gazes at the fairy-tale view of the River Vltava and Charles Bridge. Roofs of medieval houses and towers are covered with snow. With an aristocratic gesture, a deep curtsy, Acedia invites Lucas to dance. It is a dance of elegance and grace. Who sent you here? How much did they pay you?
