DOFFING

Manual doffing

Automatic doffing

Page 13: Ring Frame Auto Doffing

AUTODOFFINGIt is process of replacing fully doffed bobbins with the empty ones with the help of additional arrangement that we called ROBODOFF. ROBODOFF

Page 14: Ring Frame Auto Doffing

MANUAL DOFFING

It is process of replacing fully doffed cops with the empty bobbins.

This is done by manually.

Page 15: Ring Frame Auto Doffing

DISADVANTAGES OF MANUAL DOFFING

1. More time consumption.

2. Laborious work.

3. Less production .

4. More labour cost.

5. More proir to fault.

Page 16: Ring Frame Auto Doffing

AUTODOFFING

It is also the process of removing fully doffed bobbin with empty ones.

The main difference is that the doffing is done automatically

Page 17: Ring Frame Auto Doffing

ADVANTAGES OF AUTO DOFFING

Less time consumption.

More production.

Less laborious process.

TIME SAVING CONTINUES……Avg. time= 22.0677 sec

Page 30: Ring Frame Auto Doffing

Average total time :224.833 secNo. of machines in unit -5 : 26So total stoppage time – 26*224.833sec= 5845.658 sec=97.42 minutes=1.1623hours In one shift =1.1623*8=12.99035 hours

OBSERVATIONS AND CALCULATIONS

Page 31: Ring Frame Auto Doffing

OBSERVATIONS AND CALCULATIONS…..Time taken by Robodoff to go up

=42.8403 secTime taken by Robodoff to come

down =22.0677 sec New doffing time=224.833-

(42.8403+22.0677)= 159.0925 secTotal machines in unit 5=2626*65.57405=1704.9253sec=28.41

minutesIn one shift =28.41*8=227.32

minutes =

Time save=65.57405 sec

Page 32: Ring Frame Auto Doffing

CONCLUSION

We can reduce doffing time by proper scissor arm motion

By starting the Robodoff when it is in inclined position

By starting the machine when Robodoff is coming back
