Feedstocks Matter

Feed stocks vary in the amount of biogas they will yield. As a comparison: • 1 tonne of maize can yield about 208 m3 biogas • 1 tonne of rich food waste can yield about 230m3 biogas • 1 tonne of cattle slurry will only yield about 20m3 biogas Because of this diversity digesters will vary in size to accommodate organic loading rates

Figures based on what can be afforded – Right Tech – 3000 tonnes per year of each feedstock – Modelling against FIT (defunct) RHI Heat, RHI GtG and RTFC – Model looks at revenue and savings, feedstocks, operational costs – Allows for 10% return and equates this to Maximum Capital that can be

deployed depending on hurdle rate of 5, 7 or 10 years

• Digesters be stacked and “daisy-

chained” together

• Designed to process dry fibrous wastes such as rice straw in a batch system

• Harvest both the straw and the rice, bringing them back centrally

• Very quick to build (less than 2 weeks)

• Modular and cost effective fabric digesters

• Add value to the biogas by making various products for cooking, running generators or upgrading as a fuel for vehicles

• Create a fertiliser with the spent rice

straw and use that for the next rice crop

LagoonQUBE is a flexible, removable cover

that operates as a digester,

floating on a lagoon or open top tank to collect biogas and importantly rain water, from the slurry

• Lagoon QUBE floats and is removable to

allow changing levels of slurry and

maintenance of the lagoon

• Modular Units each covering 94m2, 11.4m in diameter, hexagon shaped

• Mitigates Green House Gas emissions – biogas that is collected from the system would otherwise have been released into the atmosphere

• Rain water landing on the cover area is

captured and pumped from the cover increasing storage capacity
