Our online reporting database provides clients with 24/7 access to inspection and report data. Access can be provided by asset, by region, by fleet or globally. The opening dashboard provides immediate visibility on the inspection schedule while automated emails are generated to prompt clients about upcoming inspections.

Continuous development of our app reporting systems and online reporting database now provides clients with interactive management of their inspection reports and the opportunity to update new equipment and remove condemned items from the database within inspection cycles. Client workbooks such as DROPS inspection booklets can be printed to allow crews to independently assess reports. Repair & Upgrade

Applus+ VELOSI/K2 provides repair and upgrade services for drilling, production and EPC companies in the global oil and gas industry. Highly experienced project supervisors run multi-disciplined teams of competent, certified riggers, welders, fitters, painters and other specialist skills sets. Our extensive experience providing turnkey construction projects to the drilling industry provides us with a depth of capability for repair and upgrade projects.

Upgrade projects are supported by in-house inspection, survey, engineering and repair and maintenance departments. Examples of upgrade projects have included FPSO web-frame stiffener installation, heat-shielding design and installation for FPSO & MODU’s, structural reinforcement to increase hook load of a drilling derrick and installation of new drilling equipment. Our experienced teams focus on carrying out projects on time and on budget.

Our repair services generally involve like-for-like rectification or reinforcement of damaged, corroded or fatigued structures. Projects we have successfully completed include internal hull and tank repairs, crane repair and replacement and jack-up leg repairs.

As industry authorities on difficult access solutions, we work with clients to develop the most effective project plans for their upgrade and repair campaigns.

Construction

Our turnkey skill sets have been adapted and applied to new build and converted FPSO’s, FSO’s and Production Platforms. Applus+ VELOSI/K2 has undertaken large scopes on shipyard projects, assisting to bring projects with looming deadlines onto schedule and helping them leave the shipyards on time.

We have installed owner specified equipment, assisted with large scale lifting, rigging and installation projects and used piping teams to install ballast control systems. From the installation of flare booms to ballast tank anodes, our multi-disciplined teams are available to assist in shipyard construction, on voyage commissioning or in-field installation and hookup.

In addition to our core services, Applus+ VELOSI/K2 offers structural modeling and analysis as well as technical drafting through our in-house engineering department. This allows us to deliver greater value to our clients as a single service provider.

Engineering

Applus+ VELOSI/K2 provides engineering services to the global oil and gas industry, offering integrated engineering, construction and installation solutions to our clients from concept to fully functional end product. We are able to provide designs quickly and efficiently on both small and large projects.

While we have an extensive track record in drilling design, analysis, upgrade and repair, our full suite engineering services have applications throughout gas industry including offshore installations, FPS cranes, refineries and other oil and gas assets.

Our ISO 9001 certification provides further assurance that design and modification capabilities are audited and approved by International standards. Structural analysis is carried out using the industry standard Staad-Pro calculation software while our design and drafting work is performed using Teklastructures 3D and Autocad.

We can also create 3D models using laser scanning technology. When merged with client maintenance packages these provide comprehensive, interactive conditional assessment, planning and management tools appropriate for oil and gas assets of any type.

Turnkey Solutions

Applus+ VELOSI/K2 offers clients a one-stop-shop for major projects by combing project management, survey, design, engineering, fabrication and installation capabilities. Electrical

Our electrical team provides a comprehensive range of electrical services to the worldwide oil and gas industry. Our services include equipment installation and testing, inspections and system audits on drilling rigs and production facilities. As a certified CompEx trainer, our clients are supported by our globally reaching, in-field inspection and repair teams throughout the asset lifecycle.

Applus+ VELOSI/K2 has completed fleet wide and region wide Hazardous Area Equipment Register surveys (HAER) for baseline and periodic requirements on a range of drilling and production facilities. We can adapt to a range of budgets and work scopes, from basic inspections to unique RFID tagging and specialised Cloud based data management system. Detailed material take-off lists are provided at the end of each project specifying the equipment required to ensure the asset adheres to the relevant standards. We also conduct preventative based inspections utilising infra-red thermographic equipment to survey for fault finding.

In addition to our inspection services, we are engaged to carry out installation, upgrade and repair of electrical systems on new and old assets. Certified teams also provide access solutions such as rope access to minimise cost and time taken to complete these projects.

Client log-in to all reports on an online database. The interactive database provides a fl¬eet dashboard, identifying current and upcoming inspections at a glance. Detailed inspection information is available including survey history, equipment serial numbers and other information required under IEC standards.

Electrical teams are trained and tested to standards such as CompEx at our own Electrical Competency Centre. Continuous recertification and skills upgrading ensures that personnel are versed in the latest standards and familiar with the latest electrical equipment.

Our electrical services complement our range of mechanical services which include installation, inspection and repair. This provides clients with a one stop shop for system upgrades and overhauls projects.

Thermography/OLPD Thermographic and Partial Discharge surveys of live equipment are carried out by qualified inspectors. Applus+ VELOSI/K2 has dedicated training centres in Singapore, and South Korea. In addition, we have developed Mobile Training Units, allowing us to bring the training to the client or location, saving clients time and money. Pressure Testing

Applus+ VELOSI/K2 provides testing and certification of pressure relief valves and pressure monitoring devices to the global oil and gas industry. We have equipped workshop containers with the latest testing and inspection equipment enabling our technicians to work independent of the asset. For time critical projects we have developed portable calibration units ready for air freight to offshore Rigs, FPSO’s or production facilities.

With a capacity of up to 36,000 psi, our teams are equipped with the skills and equipment to meet most client inspection and testing requirements.

Whether at our own workshop or using one of our mobile testing units, we only use experienced, certified technicians to ensure the integrity of PRV’s and pressure monitoring devices. Each test unit carries spare parts and replacements so that changes, repairs and upgrades can be carried out on the spot to minimise system down time.

Our pressure testing is carried out in accordance with our specific risk assessment and written method statement in place prior to commencing testing operations.

Our online reporting database provides clients with 24/7 access to equipment registers and certificates. Access can be provided by asset, by region, by fleet or globally. The opening dashboard provides immediate visibility on the inspection schedule while automated emails are generated to prompt clients about upcoming recertification. Continuous development of our online reporting database now provides clients with interactive management of their inspection reports.

Pressure Relief Valve Testing and Certification Using mobile workshop containers, testing and certification of pressure relief valves is carried out onsite with our master gauges, fittings and pressure generators.
