1 Introduction

The customer loyalty could make your business more lucrative. From that come up to a

question: How to keep your customer coming back to your store and buy more stuffs?

We offer you a wonderful answer for your question: Magento Reward Points extension.

It is designed to maximize Customers engagement in your store by many useful features.

With Reward Points , your Customers can receive reward points when placing orders on

your site. These points then can be converted to money for checkout at the rate

configured by you. The System will show messages about the number of points

Customers will earn and spend. Customers certainly feel more encouraged to purchase at

your site when they can get some bonus for doing that!

Outstanding feature

2 How to use

2.1 How to earn point

When placing an order, Customers can earn points based on the rate set by admin. Our

Reward Point Extension makes sure that Customers are well aware of your reward point

policy by showing messages on many pages. For example, on Product Detail pages, there

will be a notification for Customers that says “You earn 6 Points for purchasing this

product”.

On the Shopping Cart, the customer can see the total number of points they could earn if

they purchase the products in the Summary box.


2.2 Manage the reward point balance

Customer can check the number of remaining points after signing in, on the top left of the

main page.

By click to My Account, the customer could be navigated to My Account page. There

are some useful personal information not only reward point balance. For example: Order

history, Contact information,…


To manage the reward point balance, in the Reward information part, click View My

Rewards.

The My Reward page can be showed as the bellowed image:

The page is divided in to 2 parts: Reward information and Points Transactions.


Reward information: In this part, Customers can view their current balances as well as

description about how to earn points, how to spend points, how customer points can be

managed.

Transaction history: his part provides Customers with information on their transactions

of reward points including title, points change, creating date, expiration date, status.

If the customer would like to see all detailed points transaction, click View All.

2.3 How to spend points

On the checkout page, the customer can move the slide forwards or backwards to select

the number of points they would like to spend. Besides, they can enter this number in the

empty box or tick the checkbox “Maximize my discount with points” to spend the

maximum number of points.

Still on the checkout page, Customer can see the detail of the order, after crediting an

amount of money from reward points, how much the customer have to pay for the order.


3 How to configure

To configure the Reward Point Extension, Go to Backend screen -> Marketing ->

choose the option you want to configure in the Reward Points menu: Earning Rates,

Spending Rates, Manage Point Balances, Transactions, Settings.


3.1 Earning rate

After Click Earning Rates in the Reward Point Configuration menu, the Earning

Rates page will be shown as the below image:

If you want to add new earning rate, click Add New Earning Rate button. The Add New

Earning Rate page will be shown as the below image:


Field Example Description

Amount of money spent 30 Amount of money spent per

order is $30.

Earning Point(s) 1 When "Amount of money

spent per order" is 30,

"Earning Point(s)" is 1. If

Customer spends $90, he

will receive 3 points.

Status Active Activate the reward point

After you finish filling out all the required data, remember to click on the Save Earning

Rate button to save your work. If you click on the Save Earning Rate button, you’ll be

navigated to the Earning rates page and your rate will be shown as below:

3.2 Spending rates

In the Rewarding Points configuration menu, choosing the Spending Rates.


Then the Spending Rates page will be shown as the below image. In order to add a new

spending rate, you can click on the Add New Spending Rate button and then fill out all

the required data.

The Add New Spending Rate Page will be shown as the bellowed image.



Spending Point(s) 2 allow your Customers to

exchange 2 points for $1 to

spend on their orders. ( the

Discount Received 1 allow your Customers to

After you finish filling out all the required data, remember to click on the Save Spending

Rate button to save your work.

If you click on the Save Spending Rate button, you’ll be navigated to the Spending

Rates page and your rate will be shown as below:


3.3 Manage point balance

In the Rewarding Points configuration menu, choosing the Manage Point Balances.

After choosing the Manage Point Balances ,then the Manage Point Balances page with

many general information ( Name, Email, Point Balances, Group, Website ) will be

shown as the below image.

To Import Points information, choose the Import Points button.


Then the Import Points page will be shown as the below page.

Then select the file to import by click the Choose File button to upload the file to the

backend.

If you want to edit point balance information of the customer, choosing the Edit action

on the right of screen.


3.4 Transactions

In the Rewarding Points configuration menu, choosing the Transactions.

Then all the transactions related to reward points will be shown as the below image. In

order to add a new Transaction, you can click on the Add New Transaction button and

then fill out all the required data.

On this Transactions page, you can view a list of all point transactions together with

many general information including Customer, Action, Points Used, etc…


3.5 Setting

In the Rewarding Points configuration menu, choosing the Setting.

Then you will see 5 tabs to configure: General Configuration, Earning Points

Configuration, Spending Configuration, Sales Earning Process , Spending Points

Configuration, Display Configuration, Email Configuration.


3.5.1 general Configuration


Enable Reward Points

3.5.2 Earning Points Configuration
