Hon’ble CM congratulated AP WRD for winning 19 SKOCH awards -

highest for any one department in the country.

AP Water Resource Department achieved 19 awards including 3

Platinum for Pattiseema Lift Irrigation Scheme, NeeruChettu and Real

Time monitoring of groundwater levels, 5 Gold awards for AP Water

Resources Information System, Purushottapatnam Lift Irrigation

Scheme, Gandikota LI Scheme, Muchumurri LI Scheme and Revival of

defunct LI Scheme, 8 Order of Merit Awards and one Bronze Award

apart from Platinum Award of State of the Year in Irrigation under

National Significant Award category and Platinum Award for overall

water resource department.

Hon’ble CM appreciated Minister, Secretary, EnC and officials of AP

WRD for working in unison for seamless execution and implementation

of irrigation projects and initiatives.

It was also mentioned that the entire team of AP WRD worked hard to

reach level of excellence in dry spell mitigation, real-time monitoring &

improving groundwater levels despite rainfall deficits and completing

various crucial projects in record time.

Hon’ble CM advised WRD officials to keep up the spirit and work

towards achieving water security for the state.

Hon’ble CM advised Agriculture and Micro Irrigation department to

evaluate the possibility of transferring the responsibility of deployment

and usage of rain guns to Micro Irrigation department based on the

inputs received by agriculture department. Both the department to

discuss and evaluate various possibilities for optimal utilization of rain

guns and come up with a proposal during review meeting on 2nd

Yerram Chinnapoli Reddy Korisapadu LIS : Upon discussion with CE,

Ongole and WRD officials, Hon’ble CM instructed that crop

compensation shall be paid to the farmers to clear obstruction to

works villagers.

Veligonda Tunnels: CE, Ongole to submit a revised proposal \ letter

to EnC, WRD regarding evaluation of requisitions made by existing

agencies. Hon’ble CM to visit the project during 2nd

week of July’18.

254.064 Ha will be uploaded for Stage-I clearance soon after receiving the

suitability from the DFO, West Divn., Chittoor.

deleted from the existing agencies under clause 60('C). New tenders are

being finalized for balance works. Agencies agreed to give undertaking as per

the Hon’ble High Court judgment and requested for settlement of pending

claims. Report and representations of agencies on pending claims of Tunnel-1

submitted to the GoAP on 19th June'18 for according permission to submit

the proposals before Joint committee.

Design approvals awaited from APGENCO & APTRANSCO. Supervision

charges for an amount of INR 10 Cr to be paid to APTRANSCO.

Revised Estimate for INR 6,400 Cr submitted to the Joint Committee of IBM

& SLSC on 04-04-2018 duly incorporating the add-on works of Package-1 & 2

for recommendation to the Government. Remarks are being attended.

Stage-I clearance was accorded by the MOEF to an extent of 347.64Ha of

forest land.
