Senior Design: Wastewater Treatment (Fall 2014, Spring 2015)-The aim of this project is to develop or improve an on-site H2S removal process for the oil and gas industry’s flowback and produced water. My contribution to the team included, but is not limited to, fluid dynamics modeling, phase-change experimentation with an H2S –water binary system, and the construction and experimentation of the bench scale model(s).Mechanisms and Kinematics (Spring 2014)-Trebuchet design competition. 2nd place. The system was analyzed using kinematic concepts in MATLAB.Engineering Design Methodology (Spring 2014)-A design process that explored design options and customer needs/wants to improve a product (wall outlet).
