Mark Moehrke, Director Russian Works of Art, comments: We are very pleased with the results of todays saleand the continued strength of top works in all categories, with eight lots selling for over $100,000 and the average soldlot value over $25,000. Faberg and cloisonn enamel from American and European private collections led the market, proving that privately sourced works of art remain in high demand and continue to achieve strong prices. The two toplots, silver-gilt cloisonn and en plein enamel boxes from American private collections that had been off the market fordecades, generated tremendous interest and sold well above their high estimates. A diverse international client baseparticipated in the sale, and the sale also witnessed the highest number of registrants on Christies LIVE for thecategory.Press Contact Sara Fox, 212 636 [email protected]
