at this Indaba
Lessons• Responsible Tourism and social media need one another. • No one really knows how to make the consumer responsible –
especially the corporates. But they do know how to add ‘carbon taxes’ onto tickets to pay for things like conservation and carbon off-setting programmes
• Akshelly, no: the small guys, Khanizeni Cultural Experiences, Sangha Lodges (in the Central African Republic), Uthando (love) South Africa, Calabash Tours, the Fair Trade in Tourism guys, (like Fair Trade Travel Pass, Grootbos, The Peech Hotel, Canopy Tours South Africa) – they’re getting right
• We need a lot more knowledge, and a lot more sharing if we’re going to ...
