Our Smugglers’ Notch Family wishes to thank you for choosing Smugglers’ for your vacation. We recognize that you work hard to get away and enjoy a family vacation and that you are here to relax and have a great time. To us that means doing everything we can to keep the stress out of your vacation experience and “keep you on vacation.” We believe that our “We Want You Back” spirit will make this one of your best vacations and that you will want to return to Smugglers’ again and again.

Don’t be reluctant to let us know when something goes wrong. As hard as we try, we don’t always meet our own standards of excellence. Our quality goal is to continually improve everything we do in an effort to exceed your expectations in your vacation experience.

Activity Refund Policy: A full refund will be given for any Resort activity (unless otherwise noted) if cancelled prior to an hour before the activity begins. A 50% refund will be given if cancelled within an hour of an activity. No refund will be given after the activity has begun.

Inclement Weather: The following procedures have been developed for the protection of our Guests and Employees in the event of inclement weather conditions.

Smugglers’ Notch Resort employs the following systems in order to detect severe weather: National Weather Service broadcast system, Cambridge Rescue Squad Alert System, WINS Meterologix Alert System, and observation. Once a weather alert has been received by Smugglers’ staff, all guest services with exposure to weather conditions will be suspended for at least thirty minutes, and all outdoor facilities, including pools and hot tubs, will be closed during that period.

When the thirty minute period has passed without additional alerts, the facilities will be reopened. If another inclement weather alert occurs within the thirty minute time period, the thirty minute period will start again from the point of detection.

Business Center Services Our self-serve Business Center offers access to the Internet. Located in the lower level of the Meeting House. $6.95 for 15 minutes. A fee based fax machine (802-644-1230) is available at the Guest Service Desk, $1 per page for outgoing/incoming faxes, the first two pages are free.

Child Care Ext. 1180 TREASURES, Vermont’s best and fully licensed child care center, offers our AutumnFest Kids’ Connection program for children ages 6 weeks - 7 years. Computer Connections 866-278-6316 High speed wireless Internet service (WiFi) is available in our homes. $10 for one day and $30 for one week. Multiple users in the same home may connect simultaneously once you establish your broadband account. The wireless network is accessed by simply starting up your internet browser and following the directions on screen. Smoke DetectorsIf your smoke detector goes off due to cooking, steamy showers or burned toast, etc., please… DO NOT TAMPER WITH THE DETECTOR. Call Maintenance at extension 1158 and a technician will be dispatched immediately to repair your detector. These detectors are wired directly into the Fire Department and tampering with them causes a safety problem for the guests in the rest of your building.

In Case of FireMost buildings are equipped with interior fire alarm pull stations. When pulled, they will automatically notify the Fire Department. Also, each home is equipped with local smoke detectors for your added protection. Should the fire alarm in your building go off, please evacuate at once and remain outside until the alarm has been silenced. Please do not tamper with the fire alarms or extinguishers.

Medical EmergenciesIn the event of a medical emergency, pick up a condominium or “house” phone and DIAL 911. Relay all available information including location and patient’s current condition. The following phone numbers assume you are calling from a condominium or “house” phone. If you are dialing from a cell phone, there is no need to dial 9 before the numbers listed below. All 911 calls can be dialed directly from any phone.

Our Child Protection PlanChild abuse and neglect occur at all socio-economic levels. Children in need can be helped. The sooner they are identified and approached, the better. Join our Vermont Autumn Walking Experience for a 5 day week, a single day or choose programs à la carte. Whether your goal is to get back on track physically, mentally refresh and reengage, meet new people with similar interests, reunite with an old friend or family member, or simply get outside, our program will fill your senses with new delights and inspirations. $68/per person, per day, or purchase individual program activities.

TREASURES is our state-of-the-art, million-dollar, fully licensed child enrichment center. Our caregivers are trained in first aid, CPR, child development and behavior management. 24 hour advance reservations recommended on a space available basis. 50% cancellation fee within 24 hours for all of TREASURES programs. Babysitter ServiceAvailable evenings. $12 per hour for the first child, $1 per hour for each additional child, payable to the sitter. $10 finders fee payable to TREASURES. Reservations for babysitting in your village home can be made Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm at TREASURES, ext. 1193. 24 hours advance notice.

AutumnFest Kids’ ConnectionMonday - Friday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (Ages 6 weeks to 7 years) The Kids’ Connection full-day program runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and half-day from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Children are encouraged to arrive before 9:30 am to maximize their participation in morning activities. $85 per child, per full day program. $60 per child per morning session. 50% OFF TREASURES Kids’ Connection Programs for AutumnFest Guests. Our professionally trained mountain bike instructors and guides will help you to get the most out of your experience, whether you’re just learning to ride, want to further develop your skills, or get a personal tour. With our convenient rental program, you don’t have to worry about having the right bike. There is a wide array of frame sizes available for adults & children. Learn to Mountain Bike Clinic Daily 10:00 am - 11:30 am Learn the basics of mountain biking in this one and a half hour clinic. You will have fun and gain more confidence while learning proper body position, shifting, trail etiquette and other tips to prepare you to hit the trail! Mountain Bike Group Ride Daily 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm If you’re ready to explore the trails with your mountain bike, then this group ride is for you. TOUR INFORMATION:• All tours depart and return to the ArborTrek Welcome Center, just 2 minutes from the Resort Entrance. From the resort village, head

north (right) on to VT Rte 108 S for 0.6 miles. Turn right on Edwards Rd. Entrance 0.25 mile on right.

• The Zip Line Canopy Tour is designed for use by participants of average mobility and strength who are in reasonably good health. Participants must weigh between 70 and 250 pounds (< 5’4” must weigh less than 220 lbs.; <5’0” must weigh less than 180 lbs.) and be at least 48 inches in height and fit properly in to the safety equipment provided. The tour is for ages 8 & older. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Women who are pregnant or think they may be pregnant may not go on the Canopy Tour.

• The Treetop Obstacle Course and Climbing Adventure are for participants of good to excellent mobility and strength in good to excellent health. Participants must weigh between 40 and 250 lbs. Participants less than 8 years of age, under 70 lbs, or who cannot reach 66 inches standing flat-footed will be limited to the Apple Creek section of the Treetop Obstacle Course. Participants under age 12 must be accompanied on the course by an adult at all times. An adult can accompany 1 child, age 4 to 7 years old, or 2 children, ages 8 to 12 years who can both reach 66 inches standing flat-footed. Children who cannot reach 66 inches or act independently must be accompanied on a 1:1 adult:child ratio at all times on the course.
