Request to Take Samples from Rothamsted Research Field Sites (Including Woburn Sites) or Archive Collections

Scientific Case for Taking the SamplesPlease briefly state the research project that the samples will be used for, including the project title and the hypothesis being tested, and the analyses that will be performed.

Details of the SamplesPlease state below who will take the samples, how the sampling will be done and what amounts of materials are required, when and where will the samples be taken (include the name of the field and/or experiment to be sampled, if known):-

Please return the completed form to the Sample Requests, QA Office, Rothamsted Research, West Common, Harpenden, Herts, AL5 2JQ, United Kingdom.

Note: This request will be vetted to assure that there are no conflicts with the Rothamsted Research programme, including consideration by our Farms and Field Experiments Committee who may suggest modifications to your sampling. You are encouraged to discuss any suggestions with the members of this committee (see above) and/or another Rothamsted contact. You will be supplied with a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA), which will require your signature and that of someone authorised to sign on behalf of your organisation before samples can be taken from the field experiments or sample archive.

We request that a copy of any paper arising from the proposed work is sent to the Rothamsted collaborator before publication. In addition, external collaborators making use of the Rothamsted Long-term Experiments are requested to notify the electronic Rothamsted Archive (e-RA) data managers of potential publications ([email protected]). When publishing work based on the long-term experiments please include the acknowledgement below.
