What your reports look like now
A small portion of your reports are run very often, while others may be run very seldom or obsolete all-together.

Questions to ask
What is our budget? What resources can we use internally?
John would be perfect for this
project!
![Page 4: Reporting from Advance Windows to AWA](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062706/55790535d8b42a675b8b530b/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
Do we have internal resources to do reports or do we need to outsource this part of the project?
Can we call someone to
help, PLEASE?
![Page 5: Reporting from Advance Windows to AWA](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062706/55790535d8b42a675b8b530b/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
What would the end-user prefer; a seamless transition, or updated more user-friendly reporting?
This is the COOLEST!WOOHOO!
![Page 6: Reporting from Advance Windows to AWA](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062706/55790535d8b42a675b8b530b/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
The Budget• Can help provide a timeline• Can help you decide if you can hire someone
internally or if you need to outsource the reporting migration
• In these economic times it might even show that this project might need to be delayed until funding is available
WOW! That’s a lot of money!
![Page 7: Reporting from Advance Windows to AWA](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062706/55790535d8b42a675b8b530b/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
Internal vs. Outsourcing
Internal• You know your resources and can access them at
anytime• Can be difficult to balance regular workflow with
project demands• No need to setup alternate access for internal
resources• May take dedicated temporary resource to
complete project• Will require training
![Page 8: Reporting from Advance Windows to AWA](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062706/55790535d8b42a675b8b530b/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
Outsourcing
• Training will be required for internal resources• No need to balance current workload with project
demands• Sometimes requires alternate access and setup
for project• Easier to make timelines because of dedicated
resources to the project• No need to hire temporary internal positions

The End-User Experience
It’s important to know what end-users want:-We want a seamless transition from AdvanceWindows to AWA. This is the copy and pastelook of reports from their original versions.
![Page 10: Reporting from Advance Windows to AWA](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062706/55790535d8b42a675b8b530b/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
-We want our end-users to be able to manipulate the data to help in better forecasting and measurement.

-We want dash-boarding capabilities for our end-users for a more appealing look as well as better control of what data they see and how they can interact with that data.

More Questions to Ask
If most of our reports are rarely run, should we consolidate them into single reports or verify the need for the reports?
![Page 13: Reporting from Advance Windows to AWA](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062706/55790535d8b42a675b8b530b/html5/thumbnails/13.jpg)
Can we perhaps modify the most popular reports to include information of reports that are rarely run to eliminate the need for multiple reports?
How many reports?
![Page 14: Reporting from Advance Windows to AWA](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062706/55790535d8b42a675b8b530b/html5/thumbnails/14.jpg)
Even More Questions
What reports are duplicating information and can the duplicates be trimmed to eliminate excess work in the project?
![Page 15: Reporting from Advance Windows to AWA](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062706/55790535d8b42a675b8b530b/html5/thumbnails/15.jpg)
Can we get away with migrating the most important reports for now and do those of less importance at a later time?
I will get to it later!

What reporting software are we using now and should we upgrade? Which reporting software will best suit our needs?
