Reported Speech

Reported Speech Speech that is reported without using the

exact words of the speaker. Sometimes called ‘indirect speech.’

e.g. Tom said that he was feeling sick. Direct Speech

Speech that is written using the exact words of the speaker, without any changes.

e.g. Tom said, “I’m feeling sick.”
