Report on Swachhta Pakhwada

(1st to 15th September, 2018)

With reference to the letter (dated 7th August,2018) from central board of secondary education, to Beersheba Senior Secondary School Haldwani, under the guidelines of CBSE Board a Swatchhta Pakhwada,2018 was organized by Beersheba Senior Secondary School Haldwani, to spread the message of cleanliness,not only among students but also in surrounding areas. Various events were organized under the supervision of Vice Principal Mrs. M. Sati with a view to spread awareness and sensitivity in virtues of sanitation and cleanliness which was a positive step towards the achievement of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan (Clean India Mission), a campaign which was officially launched on 2nd October 2014 by our Prime Minister Hon’ble Shri Narendra Modi.

Following events were initiated by Beersheba Ser. Sec. SchoolHaldwanifor Swachhta Pakhwada.

School Premises Prize Distribution

From 1st September 2018 school observed Swachhta Pakhwada. In the morning assembly, pledge on swachhta was administered to the students and the staff members.

Cleanliness Drive for “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan”

Succeeding the oath for cleanliness taken during the pledge taking ceremony the next step in the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’ initiative came with the cleanliness drive that took place on 3rd sept 2018 in Beersheba Ser. Sec School. The students under the supervision of Mrs. M.Sati and Mrs. S. Patni started the cleanliness drive from bus stop Haldwani.

The zealous students and teachers took vital efforts to clean the area.

On 5th September tree plantation was carried out in front of the school block to remove unwanted weedings. Principal sir Dr. G.S Mehra , Vice Principal M.Sati, Head Mistress D.Pant, Mrs. H.Sanwal, students and staff members came together to plant various saplings in the garden area and vowed to nurture them and keep the premises green.

Skit, Speech, and Poem Recitation

The next events under the “Swachh Bharat” initiative were the skit, speech and poem recitation held on 6th September to 10th September in the morning assembly. Teacher-in-charge N.Latwal graced the events and motivated the students.

Water Harvesting And Swachh Water Day

Water Harvesting and Swachh Water Day was held on 11th to 13th September 2018 to aware the students about the importance of water and cleanliness.

Letter Writing Competition

To propagate the idea of swachhta letter writing competition was held on 14th sept 2018 for the students of class 6th to 9th and for class 10th to 12th. They were asked to write a letter about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in their surroundings.

Prize Distribution

The initiative was concluded with a prize distribution ceremony on 15th September 2018 in the Beersheba Ser. Sec. School.

Validatory Function was conducted under the supervision of English teacher N.Latwal. A melodious song on Swachhta Bharat was presented by music teacher, Dr. JyotiPande.

Prize was distributed by Block Education Officer Harendra Mishra for various activities conducted under Swachhta Abhiyaan.
