August 4, 2019: Inauguration of First Year

Classes of B.E. / B.Arch – 2019 batch.

Induction programme was organized from

August 13-31, 2018 for the First year

students. Guest lectures were also organized

by all the Engineering Departments

The BMSCE Alumni Network presented

52 merit scholarships (cash prize of

Rs.10,000/- and a merit certificate)

during the Inauguration to one topper

from each UG and PG programmes with

highest CGPA. A cash prize of Rs.10000

and a merit certificate was presented to

such toppers at the end of the odd

semester of Academic year 2018-19

August 13, 2019: Review Meeting - TEQIP

III

August 15, 2019: Sri.Shashiraj, Faculty,

Department of Mechanical Engineering, was

invited to conduct Yakshagana Online Quiz

competition using Schoology (a social

network used for academics) 360

participants of yakshagana community from

Kasaragod, Udupi, Dankshina Kannada,

Uttara Kannada, Shimoga, Bengaluru,

Mysuru, Mandya, & Tumkur districts and

few participants from outside Karnataka &

India participated in the competition. The

event was recorded as the first online quiz

event in the history of Yakshagana


Science & Engineering, in association with

Protocol club members and Sahas, an NGO,

conducted a cleanliness awareness

programme at Lalbagh. Protocol club

members volunteered to spread awareness

about cleanliness and a garbage free

environment to the visitors and tourists

gathered at Lalbagh on Independence Day
