2-1 Describe the nature as the engineer of Nakamura.

As an engineer, Nakamura have shown good examples in decision making and courage. His contribution have

led to Toyotas brand supremacy worldwide. His determination to create a Japan brand passenger car is outstanding

considering Japan at that time is not a very strong country. Many people said it is impossible for Japan to produce a

passenger car. As a result, he have difficulty to get financial help by the government at that time but his effort does not

end there. His continues to struggles by making new car design until he get approval by the banks. Toyota maybe not

exist today if not because of his never ending effort.

His decision to refuse the offer from the Ford to design car for them is also an interesting decision made by

Nakamura. He decides to reject the offer and continue to make a passenger car with Japan brand. This shows strong

patriotism spirit by Nakamura. He can live in wealth if he decide to accept the offer but that is not what he wants. Hehave the vision to see Japan with its own high quality passenger car brand and he want to make it a reality.

During the car test, the car is obviously can take the rough road. The spring was snapped and flame was parted.

The engineers still not give up. They try much harder to overcome the problem. Then, they decide to use stronger

material and new ways to make spring. The car now is more durable and can be driven on rough road. Their creativity

and critical thiinking is very admirable.
