1.0 INTRODUCTION In September 2013 Soil Engineering Geoservices Ltd were instructed by Mott MacDonald Limited (The Engineer) acting for and on behalf of the Education Funding Agency (The Employer) to carry out a ground investigation at Saddleworth for the development of a proposed high school complex. It is proposed to construct a new school at the site. The investigation comprised the formation of cable percussion boreholes selectively extended by rotary drilling techniques together with dynamic (windowless) sampling and in situ testing.
