Replicator Pages 2-5 with Scripts

April 13, 2015April 15, 2015 robxaraHello Everyone, Today we are going to have a look pages 2-5 in some detail, we have the scripts andthe pages that Armin drew from those scripts. You can see what worked and what didn’t from anartists point of view. What I love about the pages is that you can almost tell what is happening just byfollowing the art/panels – see if you can work it out

. I really wanted to have a text light comic because personally I don’t enjoy reading comics that aresaturated with text, why would you want to cover up all that amazing art. I’m not sold 100% on all thedialogue and text as of yet, I am going to be flexible with this comic and make changes when and if Ineed to. I am going to wait to see how it all looks and flows once its colored by Ross and how the textlooks once Jamie applies it.

Panel 2/ (Day) Cut to an external shot of an airport, planes are still parked in their bays, a makeshiftfence surronds them an assortment of military veichels and personel are scattered around







Panel 3/ (Day) long panel, zoomed in. Cut to a scene of the united nations, they are gathered around circular table, a name plate lies in front of each member with a different nation named on it. The lookson the faces on the members are a mix of anger and concern, 2 men in the middle of the shot of thetable are arguing furiously. there is perhaps 5-6 members, There should be a mix of ethnicities to be arepresentation of the UN. centered behind the 2 men arguing is a map of the world.

2.CAPTION: The Country Is Left to rot.

3.Man 1:” This is not right!”

4.Man 2: “Its too dangerous, If it spreads to Europe, it could all be over”.

Panel 4/ (Day) vertical split panel with 5. Cut to the prime minister of England an older man,distinguished, clean shaven. Standing in front of a pedestal in front of a government building in frontof a group of press.

5.CAPTION: the government fractures

6.Prime Minister ” As your Prime Minister for the ongoing safety of the nation I’m invoking Marshallaw.”

Panel 5/ (Day) Cut to a news anchor, sitting at a desk, smiling talking facing us. He sits on the left sidof the panel to his right and behind him is a tv showing a solider handing out food to a young girl.

7.CAPTION: The media is heavily censored

Panel 1/ (Night) Cut to a close up view of 2 soldiers holding machine guns guarding crates of food,”supplies” written on the crates, They appear to be supervising the distribution of food, a crowd isgathered around them, One of the soldiers is firing his gun he is reacting angrily to what happened tthe other soldier. The other soldier has been attacked by a member of the crowd, A large rock bouncinof his head, blood is spurting from his head.

1.Caption: Its Pointless.. The military cant cope

2. Angry soldier:” We are out of food for today,Come back tomorrow”







3.Crowd member( off): “we are starving”

4.Rock throwing Crowd member:”Liars”

5.Angry soldier:’NO”

6.Sfx: Ratatatat-Machine gun

Panel 2/ (Night) Zoomed out shot of the same scene, It shows the tent where the food is being stored, ared cross symbol on the tent, There are 4-5 soidiers in this shot, the 2 we saw previously and 2 more,Perhaps there is a military truck or 2, the ones that carry soldiers- there could also be supply crates inthem. The soldiers are being overun and killed by the crowd which appears to be in its 100’s, Thesoldier that was firing on the crowd in the previous panel is now firing harmlessly into the air.

7.Caption: hunger and rioting spread almost as fast as the virus.

8.Sfx: tatat-Machine gun

Panel 3/ (Day) Cut to a view of people lining up they look poor and hungry facing us, one man is beincarried away by 2 contracts*, another contract stands there holding some sort of scanning device whicis flashing and beeping.-the contract has a full auto shotgun on his back and he is facing away from u*Contracts are a future looking soldier. Here are some sketches I have done and some images.

9.Caption: Hope emerges as a scientist identifies a way to detect early symptons

PAGE 4-5 1/ Double page.( night) Cut to a mother and daughter standing at the top of a hill facingaway from us, the mother is holding the daughter by the hand and the daughter is holding her teddythe same way. they are in a line of people that goes down a hill and far into the distance. all the peoplein the line are poor The line of people converges on a huge city surrounded by a large and imposingwall, in some parts the wall is still being constructed, their should be construction machinery cranes

bulldozers ect. We cannot see all of the city as its quite large. Outside of the city there should be

buildings, houses and cars in ruins, I would like to have a mass grave type of thing perhaps with adump truck dropping bodies into it. ( maybe in the foreground)

2.Caption: Only for those who are lucky enough to have something to offer

3.Caption: The death toll outside the walls currently resides at approximatley 9 million
