Solid Front Process Gauges withPhenolic Case

The J Hawk solid front process gauges withphenolic case are widely used for petrochemical and chemical processing

industries. These gauges are also applied to compressors, water treatment plants, food processing plants, power generating stations andpulsating pumps. There is a solid wall betweenpressure sensing element and the window. Thisdesign provides better safety for monitoring thegauges in the envent of the gauge failure.

The bourdon tube has stainless steel internal parts such as bourdon tube, socket,movement and screw washers. The stainlesssteel sensing element is suitable for use in corro-sive media and the pressure system is not subjectto damage.

JHawk Gauge offers liquid fillable cases. Theliquid filling may be glycerin or silicone. Thisgauge features a filling vent. This special designlets users quickly and conveniently fill dry gaugeswithout special tools or fixtures.

Solid front with pressure relief back to ASME B40.1standard that will reduce the possibility of windowfailure and projection of parts outward through thefront of the gauge.

The phenolic case and Polyimide ring supply betterperformance to resist rugged, corrosive and hightemperature environment.

The stainless steel rotary geared movement reducesfriction and corrosion which assures a smooth-mov-ing pointer and accurate pressure indication.

Maximum and minimum pressure stop of movementcan be offered to protect against damage caused bysudden vacuum or over pressure.

Process gauges are equipped with pressure com-pensating diaphragm installed in the casing backand connected to the outer atmosphere by com-pensating hole.

Primary stem seal, formed bypreloaded contact of disc hubwith flattened seat surfaces,completely isolates stem and

body parts from the media.

Secondary stem seal, formed by an engi-neered interface fit of the stem through theseat, provides additional sealing integrity.

Rounded, polished disc edge provides full 360degrees concentric seating, minimum flowrestriction, lower seating and unseatingtorques and maximum seat life.

Superior, one-piece thru-shaft design proveshigh strength and positive disc control.

Molded-in O-ring provides positive seal againststandard ANSI flange faces. Replaceable seat,also serving as flange gasket, isolates stemand body parts from the line media.

Self-adjusting, bi-directional stem seal, locatedin the upper journal, is suitable for vacuumand pressure, preventing external contamina-tion of the stem area.

Dove-tail seat retention method eliminatesthe need for bonding, making seat replace-ment easy and fast. Extra heavy edge sectionresists tearing.

Factory testing to 110% of specified pressurerating of each valve assures drop-tight shut-off.

Cast in top plates are an integral part of thebody and are standardized to allow directmounting all actuators.
