DESCRIPTIONPratt & Whitney has revised the engine manual crack limits of the V2500 stage one high pressure turbine (HPT) blades with
cracking of the cooling holes. With this revision, the blades can be repaired to meet serviceable dimensional limits and be
returned to service. The extended serviceable, repairable crack limits provided by the revised full repair for Select and
Pre-Select stage one HPT blades result in a 15 percent yield improvement for first-time repaired blades and save the customer
considerable cost to parts that would have previously been scrapped.
