This new repair developed by Pratt & Whitney

for the V2500-A1/A5 HPC 12th Stage Seal

Ring addresses defects on the axial surface

and restores serviceability on the part. By

applying a plasma coat to the part

(Figure 01), it increases repair yield and

reduces part scrappage, leading to lower

overall cost of ownership.
