Refrigeration Specifications:

Compressor shall be a Bitzer Scroll compressor or equal. The compressor shall have internaloverload protection mounted at the compressor, oil sight glass, Rota-Lock valves on suctionand discharge ports, rubber compressor motor mounts and a hot gas by-pass valve on all leadcircuits.

The refrigeration circuit shall include a replaceable core liquid line drier, with 1/4 turn ball valves on each side of the drier core. All suction lines shall be insulated inside the compressor compartment and the TXV bulb shall be cork insulated.

Each compressor circuit should have low suction cutout auto reset, high pressure cutout manual reset, Roto lock valves on compressor, 1 minute delay between compressors on, headpressure control.

All refrigeration lines penetrating sheet metal shall be secured with a crush-a-clamp on eachside of the penetration.

All pipe penetrations through cabinets should be sealed with grommets and insulating foam.

Suction line shall be insulated with TXV bulbs cork tapped.

Condensers shall be welded to frame.

TXV sensor bulbs installed at the 4 or 8 o’clock position on suction line and cork taped.

Nitrogen must be purged through piping during solder assembly.

Thirty ton units and above shall consist of two circuits.

Heater Specifications:

Thirty ton unit shall consist of (2) Chromalox ADH-035 electric heaters. Twenty ton shallconsist of (1) Chromalox ADH-035 electric heater. Each heater shall be individually controlled, with a separate contactor and breaker.

Blower must have 5 minute time delay on off to ensure proper cool down of electrical elements.

Motor Specifications:

Blower Motor: Thirty Ton blower motor shall be a 10 HP two speed TEFC industrial grademotor. Twenty Ton blower motor shall be a 5 HP two speed TEFC industrial grade motor.Condenser fan motor shall be a ? HP TEFC industrial grade motor. Both motors shall be 460/3/60 with internal overload protection. Each motor shall be oversized 20% frommaximum BHP. Start capacitors are not allowed on condenser fan motors.

Two (2) speed evaporator blower motor shall be supplied with a selector switch being placedon control panel door. CFM on high (30 ton 8,500) (20 ton 4,200) and low speed (30 ton6000) (20 ton 3000). Motor 480v 3 Ê 1750/1140 rpm.

Electrical Specifications:

All electrical wiring must comply with NEC and NEMA 3R requirements. Each machinemust have a phase/fault monitor with Square D components used on all breakers and motorstarters.

Electrical connections: 3 black 4/0 female cam-loks and 1 green female cam-lok shall be usedto for main power feed to machine. 3 black 4/0 male cam-loks and 1 green male cam-lok shallbe connected to female cam-loks to allow for multiple machine connections. All Cam-lokconnections should have rubber cap attached to each connection.

Control panel must have on/off switch, blower high speed/ low speed switch, hour meter, 1 – green light for power, 1 – blue light per circuit for compressor on, 1 – amber light per circuit for heating on, 1 – red light for phase rotation/fault. ID tags must be placed on panelfor each component.

A 15 kva transformer 480v to 110v or 230v should be installed and a 110 GFI convenienceoutlet. Outlet shall be breaker protected. Outlet shall be located outside of control panel foreasy access.

All exposed wiring in condenser compartment must be run in a weather tight casing. All wiring must be free of butt splices.

A wiring diagram must be placed in each unit, affixed to the back of the compressor panel.

Each machine must have airflow proving switch.

Plastic cover with nylon spacers and bolts shall be installed in front of the 480 V Buss bars.

All motor starters shall be overloaded protected.

Must confirm with UL and NEC codes.

Frame:

Frame shall consist of a 1/8" steel welded frame with a 3/8" welded structural steel base.

Unit shall be able to be picked up with a forklift from all four sides. Fork pockets are to bewelded all the way around on base skid. Fork slots 9.5" x 3.5" x 40".

Eight (8) white Teflon bumpers 2" x 8" x ?” thick with two (2) ?"- 20 counter sunk stainlessscrews for attaching to frame. It should be attached on top and bottom of both front and backof machine. (front and back represents control panel and coil side of machine).

The roof shall be welded or bolted to the main frame of the machine and attached in a securemanner to prevent loss during transportation.

Six tent clamps made of heavy gauge sheet metal and painted white with rubber protectionshall be made and attached to machine. The locations shall be three per width side and located near evaporator.

Evaporator air return must be located on the lower length section with side entrance.Evaporator supply must be located on the upper section with side discharge. Evaporatorreturn and supply must be located on the same length side of the machine.

Evaporator blower fans should be attached in a manner to allow easy removal/accessibilitywithout compromising unit integrity.

Unit numbers must be 2” high and be welded on two sides of skid.

Access panels must be slide in and sit in a groove while on machine. Panels have to be liftedup from groove in order to be removed. Panels must have recessed lift handles. Panels shouldhave tooled (screw driver) mechanical access latches and two per panel.

Condenser fans shall be assembled in a manner so they can be removed from the top of theunit. Condenser fans guards are required and must be able to be removed from the machinewithout having to remove motor/bracket.

All areas of evaporator, condenser, and compressor shall be secured in a manner as to notallow air by-pass from one area to another or from ambient.

Condenser air outlet must be straight up out of the roof/top of unit.

Evaporator coil housing riveted, not sheet metal screwed

Trim pieces on recessed on main control panel riveted and caulked.

Paint Requirements: Must meet standard PPG High Performance paint specifications,epoxy primer / urethane topcoat. PPG contact for additional information Billy Pitre 504-782-1885.

Special Requirements: Machine must be vacuumed out and be free of metal shavings and other particles.

All equipment must be tested for integrity and log sheets of each machine supplied to customer prior to shipping.
