What People Said...

"Remember Remember is a thought provoking piece of theatre which stimulates the imagination of KS1 children. It has current links with the English National Curriculum and Literacy framework from the national strategies. It will support creative writing, speak and listening opportunities and role-play based on the current KS1 objectives of Traditional Tales. This style of theatre engages children to ask and respond to questions. It allows peer learning and recognition or oral storytelling to be enhanced. It is another medium with which to support children's learning and provide them with rich vocabulary and storytelling skills with which to inspire them as writers." Helen Jones, Head Teacher.

About The Company...

Leila Chebbi Leila has worked as a performer and facilitator on numerous children’s theatre projects with FUSE New Theatre for Young People and Merseyside Dance Initiative. On two of these projects, ‘Little Acorns’ for FUSE and ‘Minibeasts’ for MDI, the main focus was to encourage interaction and creative input by the children participating. She has worked nationally & internationally as a performer and facilitator with children who are learning English as a second language and/or children with speech and language difficulties. Working on these projects has enabled her to develop alternative skills to communicate with children in a theatrical environment. These skills along with Leila's skills in Physical Theatre, Movement and Dance have aided her accessibility to work with children across a broad spectrum of abilities and backgrounds.

Emma Hirons Emma has been employed on numerous children’s theatre projects for local and national organisations such as Tell Tale Hearts, Hope St Ltd, FUSE New Theatre For Young People, National Museums Liverpool and Unity Theatre. Emma was part of the team that delivered National Museum Liverpool and Find Your Talent’s extensive Merseyside schools tour, 'Ancient Egyptian Adventure' in 2009/10. A lot of the theatre she has worked on has been interactive and all of the work Emma has done for children has been devised. Working in this way has given Emma considerable skills and experience in this area. She is trained in Clown and has spent considerable time developing her skills in this area with such practitioners as Philippe Gaulier and Peta Lily. The main focus of clown is on truthfulness and honesty in performance, which Emma believes play an integral role in creating work for children.
