Although we won’t be able to offer our traditional Community Education Summer Camps this summer, that doesn’t mean we won’t have camp! Our camp teachers and afterschool partners have been hard at work creating many virtual options for your children.

The camps created by our camp teachers are described below. Registration for these camps will be at the Community Education Summer Camp homepage at the district website. We moved to a new more convenient registration software and we have provided you with directions for account creation and registration.

TIMES: Our Allen ISD summer camps will run for 2 hours a day, Monday – Friday. We’ll have morning camps and afternoon camps. Morning camps will run from 9:30 – 11:30 am. Afternoon camps will run from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Grades listed are for the grade just completed.

REGISTER: Registration will open on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 8:30 am. For the safety of our office staff, we will not offer in person registration this summer. If you have questions, you can call 972-727-0502 or email [email protected].

COST: The cost for each camp is $65 for classes where supplies are provided or $58, where parents purchase supplies from a list. Supplies provided will be available for pickup the week prior to the camp. The camps we will offer can be found on the grid below followed by more detailed descriptions.

SUPPLIES: Check the description for each camp to see if there will be supply pick up or if you will be sent a supply list. The items on your supply list may need to be purchased or gathered from around your house. Internet connection and a computer/ tablet is needed for all camps, as they will meet via zoom. Camp specific requirements will also be listed with each camp. e.g. if parent supervision is needed at any time during the camp. (oven use, etc.)

REFUNDS: Refunds will be granted, less a $10 per camp spot administrative fee, when requested by noon five working days prior to the start of camp. Registration for the upcoming week of camp closes then too. Cancellation dates can be found below. Camp tuition may instead be transferred to a later camp if registering for the same camper during any remaining weeks.

CAN YOU BUILD IT?Can you turn your living room into an obstacle course or build a chain reaction course around your room? During this camp you will get a different theme challenge every day. Some of the challenges include building and completing an obstacle course at home, fort building, scavenger hunt, paper airplane building, and chain reactions at home. Registration InformationAllen ISD Community Education is moving to a convenient, mobile-friendly, online tool to register and manage your account from any device, including your smartphone or tablet. Below are some tips for creating your account and registering your student.

Create your Account Profile

• Browse to the website: https://allenisd.ce.eleyo.com (the link and these directions can also be found at www.allenisd.org/communityed)• Create your profile by selecting Sign In (top, right corner). • To create a new profile, log in with Facebook or Google-or- select Create One Now.• When creating an account within the system, you will be required to enter your basic contact information including an email address (used for logging in) and a password. If your email address is recognized, use the Send Forgot Password Email to receive a password set email. • Select Manage All Relationships to add family members and emergency contacts. Please make sure you add your child’s age/grade to their profile. An email will be sent from Eleyo with a link to verify your account. Use the Verify Your Email Address button on that email to verify your account.

Add Family Members and Emergency Contacts • If you are not already on the website, browse to https://allenisd.ce.eleyo.com and login with your email address and password by selecting the Sign In button.• Select your name in the top right, corner of the screen then select Your Account/Relationships to view your profile. • Use the Add a Relationships button to add all family members. Please input your child’s age/grade. When adding a grade for a Pre-K student, select Kin-dergarten and the year your child will be entering Kindergarten (you may edit this later if needed). • Select the Create Person button. After you have finished setting up the people associated with your profile, select the house icon link in the top, left area of the screen then select Explore All Programs then Your Dashboard. •On the left, under the Manage Family Members section, use Edit Emergency Contacts button to update that information or add new emergency contacts. In order to prevent creating duplicate users in the system, when adding an emer-gency contact that is already part of your profile, please search for the name then select from the list of existing users that are presented.

In addition to the camps offered by our staff, a number of our afterschool part-ners have also created some fun virtual camps! We have camps and classes from Abrakadoodle, Drama Kids, Kid’s KitchZen, Mad Science, Smart Money Academy, Spanish on Wheels, and Young Rembrandts. Their weeklong camps run thru July 31st.
