ACM ACTIVITY: “Workshop On Internet of Things “

This workshop was conducted by I3indya..The speaker was

Mr. Fazal Khan. He insisted that the focus should be on basics and

covered them accordingly. Our college was Zonal Center for this work-

Bhandiwad BLOG: Urban Poor

Sitting by the window pane, it was disheartening to see the sunset to be so deceptive. People would find it beautiful, but to me it looked like a carrier of dark-ness, which has surrounded our lives in ways we can't compre-hend. May be we are used to it, like we are used to the abso-lute oblivion we encounter once we have our earphones on and cut ourselves from the world around. Even I am one of those who have found solitude and tranquillity away from people in my own thoughts, maybe we are scared to expose our inhibitions and fears in front of the vultures people seem to be. It worries me when loneliness is addictive and soothing to us, we love the lone stars but hate the constellations. Gone are the days when we sat for long hours in our veranda and spoke about anything and everything under the sun, about the existence of life to the new song which just garnered attention. Now we surely go out, have more money than ever, clubbing has become every night scene. Three drinks down, dancing till our legs hurts, a new guy/girl every night, letting our hair down, not caring about the world literally. But think again, somewhere life becomes meaningless. For me, it is a night I waste from my life, and the thought of it scares me because we have sur-rendered ourselves to the urban poor things we do. We fear attachment more than we fear losing people from our lives, and that is dreadful for me. Because I pity our generation, we won't be able to feel and experience the love one feels after seeing their loved ones after a long time, the happiness will be long forgotten. Its saddening when I see us becoming insensitive and impatient, where we can't stop for a moment and let our loved ones catch up with our every busy schedules, and lives. In the end, I still can see a ray of hope shining in its full glory, like the stars destroying the darkness of the night. Somewhere still there is a place where we can spoil ourselves with humanity, love and not hatred. Where deception of the lilac sunset, and the shades of grey will be vanished, where black and white will be as visible as the ray of light is to me. Be-cause for once I know, even when the whole world becomes blind, the ray of light will shine and you will see it anyway. Shraddha Gupta,

3D Printing technology

3D printing and Additive manufacturing are the two terms referring to the exact same process of building a product by add-ing material, layer by layer, from a CAD (Computer-aided design) file. This is oppo-site to the traditional manufacturing pro-cess, like CNC machining, where the prod-uct is built by subtracting material from a sheet or block of material. People in industries generally prefer the term ‘Additive manufac-turing’, while on the other hand, the term ‘3D printing’ is used by the media and consumers, and this term has seen a spike in usage ever since a 3D printer became something you could have on your desk.

PM Modi’s interview to India Today: ‘Demonetisation a tough decision to clean economy’

Highlights of the interview #Black money has all been forced out into

the open, whomsoever it may belong to-whether it is corrupt politicians, bureaucrats, businessmen or pro-fessionals. Counterfeit notes, which our intelligence agencies had reported to be available in high vol-umes with our enemies, have been instantly neutral-ised. The media has extensively reported on districts

famous as counterfeiting hubs being badly hit.

#Regarding frequent modifications one must be able to distinguish between Niti and Ran niti. Our ran niti however needed to be different, aptly

summarised by the age old saying tu daal daal main paat paat.

#Regarding Manmohan Singh, it is interesting that the world’s monumental mismanage-ment comes from a leader who has been at the helm of India economic journey for the past 45 years. His reference to ‘organised loot’ was perhaps a reference to the unending string of scams under his leadership, from the coal scam to the 2G and CWG scam. Demonetisation on the other hand is the unprecedented step to confiscate the loot of the corrupt The govt tried its best to keep the parliament functioning. I was keen to speak in both the houses. Yet, there was was a concerted attempt by the Congress to derail the functioning of the houses, rather than have a proper debate. While Opposition in Parliament is understandable, this is the first time this is being used to protect

the dishonest and that to so openly.

#When money returns to the bank, it loses its anonymity. Every rupee leaves a trail. This changes the game as black money that did not have an address till now has been tagged with one. We now know when was it, where and when. Holders of black money may hide behind the bank accounts of others, but unlike cash holdings, they can be traced. In this game of hide and seek they have a few days to hide, but the govt has the mechanism and will to seek them out. More interest-ingly the existence of such trails, the identification of one culprit invariably leads to the unearthing of

even larger sources and schemes of corruption.

#If you act with clarity and with the purest of motives, the results will be there for any to

see. Whatever my critics may say, I seek no personal benefit from all this, only the greater good.

# Cash held by terrorists, Maoists and other extremists has also been neutralised. There has been a crippling impact on dangerous and highly damaging illegal activities, such as human

trafficking and narcotics.

#I pity a few of our opponents, especially the Congress leadership, for the desperation they have been exhibiting.. Congress leaders are entirely pre-occupied with only one thing-

elections.

#There is nothing political in the demonetisation decision…it was a tough decision taken to clean up our economy and our society. If I were guided by short-term electoral politics, I would have

never done so.

Three years at Vidyalankar Insti-tute of Technology has come to an end but the day when I en-tered in Vidyalankar Institute of Technology College, the first thing came into my mind that VIT could be the best source for my successful journey and yes it was. I am very delighted that I have got the opportunity to com-plete my graduation from such famous quality educational col-lege. VIT has always been fa-mous for its tremendous and impressive infrastructure. I am very proud that our college has been felicitated with awards for such a wonderful infrastructure. College always orga-nized seminars on latest upcom-ing technology which was very informative and helped me a lot to survive in such a competitive environment. Apart from these VIT always organized extracurric-ular activities which are helpful for relieving stress and giving us broader perspective of life be-yond studies. I believe you should be technically strong on whatever you learn in college as it matters in the professional life. One thing college is only the cycle of stripped identity in which we con-tinuously challenge our minds, step outside our comfort zone.

I would like to thanks

VIT and our professors on behalf

of INFT 2015-2016 for making

learning our passion. . INFT iii

ISRO's world record bid: Launching 83 satellites on single

rocket

CHENNAI: Indian space agency ISRO is aiming for a world record by putting into orbit 83

satellites -- two Indian and 81 foreign -- on a single rocket in early 2017, a top official of An-

trix Corporation said

"During the first quarter of 2017 we plan to launch a single rocket carrying 83 satellites. Most

foreign satellites are nano satellites," Rakesh Sasibhushan, Chairman-cum-Managing Direc-

tor of Antrix Corporation told IANS

He said all the 83 satellites will be put in a single orbit and hence there will not be any

switching off and on of the rocket.

The major challenge for the proposed mission is to hold the rocket in the same orbit till all

the satellites are ejected.

Student Speak—Journey at VIT When i first visited Vidyalankar I was astonished by excellent infrastructure and guidance by teaching staff. At that first glance I

solely wanted to be a part of VIT.

We were cultivated to think outside the box. That is the reason we were never restricted to our syllabus. 'Engineers are next to God' this responsibility lies on our shoulder for better future. Our mind set was shaped in such a way by our professors that this re-sponsibility was never a burden. Presentations, seminars helped us to get inspired by extraordinary minds. Our faculty not only motivated us to tackle core concepts but also were supportive so we take part in extra curriculum activities. Talking about them we were inspired to nurture our passion our hob-bies whether it is dance, music, drama, sports or debates. We not only celebrate our achievements but also team spirit, one's talent and potential. This journey is about to end soon but so much to take from it. We have memorable mo-ments whether it is competing our friends in sports or answering those tricky questions dur-ing lectures. I was startled and confused when I stepped into the campus but now when I step out I have clear vision in my eyes and dreams in my heart. From our first petrified viva to our first confident interview we all grew, we all learnt. It's been four years now to be part of this family. I consider myself fortunate and lucky to be a proud VITian.
