Globally $Trillions are in play!

Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) Taking a lead role in initiating acquisition updates and reforms. Launched in 2014. Category Management is one of the largest and most systematic efforts ever to normalize purchasing across the federal government Category Management Isn’t just about lowering price. It’s about managing the entire government acquisition and program life cycle. The goal is to leverage value from new opportunities and acquisition behaviors, including online collaboration and agile development. Contract Grouping Contracts from 3,200 active U.S. government Product Service Codes are being grouped into 19 major market categories and 88 subcategories for comparison, assessment and prioritization. Virtually every market is being scrutinized for optimization and contract consolidation. This is a small business bonanza just waiting to happen. Here innovation can enter the acquisition game very fast with a specific category focus that BGR Group can help us build and sell to the Federal space and globally as a reusable template process of innovation and structure. OFPP and GSA Will focus on 10 Common Categories 1-10, and 11-19 (related to DoD).

Federal Market Segments

• Information Technology and Travel & Lodging have the highest percentage on MACs

• Prime contract spending declines to Fiscal 2006 level • Spending decreases, yet contract count grows • As contract grows, average value Shrinks • Current spending and revenue trends lead to increasing deficits

The Network is the Prime!

“insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.“ - Albert Einstein

“High-performing private sector firms quickly bring together small multi-disciplinary, integrated program teams (IPTs)…At the hub of these IPTs is a strong and effective program management who stewards the process from beginning to end.” -The U.S. CIO’s 25-Point Plan to Reform Federal IT Management

Networked Structure Comprehensive capabilities in a Peer-to-Peer Relationship Our contract team is a network of companies organized to do Federal but not limited to IT work, particularly large and/or difficult projects. In addition to agile technology companies, the team includes firms that provide professional support such as accounting, human resources, and legal advice. This is also where we would like to partner with BGR Group. Coordination, not competition The Reddix Group (TRG) is the Team Lead. It serves as the network hub, handling communications and coordination. To avoid competing with the companies we coordinate, The Reddix Group does no technical work directly for the customer. That’s left to our team’s member firms. The best team for the task When a task order is issued, we assemble individuals and companies with relevant expertise into a Task Team—the best possible team for that particular task. i.e., H.R.6 The NIH and Cures Innovation Fund. Any member firm can lead a Task Team doing work that involves its area of expertise. If a task requires expertise the team initially lacks, a best-of-breed company is brought in to provide it. Customers are team members When we undertake Federal IT work, Reddix Group (TRG) personnel team up with agency representatives to form an Integrated Program Team. We talk with stakeholders and end-users at every stage of a project, according to lean startup/Customer Development principles.
