    About MPPSC

    Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission was constituted as follows from1st November 1956, under Section 118(3) of the States Reorganization Actby the order of the President, vide Notification No. 59 /6 / 56-SR-II,dated 27-10-56 of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Government of India.

    Its Objective:

    The study of the Constitutional provisions has enshrined in Article 320 ofthe Constitution of India, envisages the importance of an efficient systemof civil services in a democracy. The formation of State Public ServiceCommissions was conceived to eliminate :

    (a) favoritism, nepotism, personal likes / dislikes, whims and fancies;(b) birth, descent or such other things as the basis of selection;(c) canvassing in any form in respect of a candidate.

    The main thrust, therefore, is to secure the very best and the mostdeserving persons for all the Government jobs in the State throughobjective methods of recruitment.
