CASE STUDY

RECRUITMENT AGENCY TAKES ON TA TRIUMPH-ADLER TO

RATIONALISE THEIR PRINT MANAGEMENT

This long standing recruitment company has numerous branches across the UK and is

renowned worldwide; offering a range of outsourcing and consulting services to thousands

of companies of all sizes around the world as well as providing employment to more than

half million employees annually.

In the UK and Eire, the company specialises in scientific and engineering recruitment as

well as providing office, retail, sales and marketing, HR, call and contact centre and

hospitality staff. As an industry champion committed to best practice, they were the first UK

recruitment consultancy to gain ISO 9002 accreditation.

The companies European offices were already familiar with TA Triumph-Adler and their

DMS capabilities and service initiatives so when TA Triumph-Adler opened their new UK

offices in Swindon in early 2012, the task for the recruitment agencies’ head of IT, who had

initiated a review of the UK division’s existing DMS infrastructure, suddenly became a whole

lot easier.

Within two months, TA Triumph-Adler had completed a Total Cost of Ownership audit

across all their branches to establish their existing and future individual print output

requirements. They found that most of the branches were using out of date devices with

expensive consumables and old or expired service contracts.

This was an opportunity for the company to upgrade and integrate their printer network into

their IT system and rationalise their document management requirements. With work space

at a premium in their 14 branches, TA Triumph-Adler suggested replacing the existing mix

of scanners, fax machines and printers with one space-saving DC6240L ‘Desktop’ A4 multi-

functional device (MFD) capable of providing all four standard functions plus numerous

others.

For the high volume printing requirements at their Head Office, TA Triumph-Adler

recommended two DCC2935 A3 colour MFDs with a print capacity of up to 7,150 sheets,

high paper weight options, booklet finishing and stapling plus a raft of optional software

solutions powered by TA Triumph-Adler’s innovative software platform known as HyPAS

(Hybrid Platform for Advanced Solutions). This software platform expands the MFDs core

capabilities with simple and intuitive touch-screen operations specifically tailored to their

workflow needs.

Using TA Triumph-Adler’s Managed Print Solutions Management software, the IT

department and branch managers have reduced the time previously committed to managing

service requirements and ordering consumables. The new contract has also has benefited

the finance department which receives a single quarterly invoice covering all the costs

including click count, consumables, capital outlay to the leasing company and service

management.

The recruitment agencies’ Head of IT said: “We found the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)

audit which was conducted in conjunction with TA Triumph-Adler very helpful. The result

was that we replaced our legacy fleet of MFDs with TA Triumph-Adler devices. The

implementation was smooth and well organised with new devices being added to the

network and old units being removed for recycling with very little disruption to our teams

and users. After a short initial familiarisation and bedding-in period, support has been

effective and timely with minimal down time. The printers have all performed very well, even

when subjected to higher volumes than originally anticipated.”

He added: “Regular reviews have allowed effective management of the printer estate both

from a hardware usage perspective and managing user behaviours to what they are

printing. We are currently undergoing a printer review in another business area and will

have no hesitation in implementing TA Triumph-Adler units across this area also.”
