TABLE OF CONTENTS
Welcome!
The Delavan Park and Recreation Department invites you to look over our Winter/Spring program guide. If you are looking to try something
new or even just have fun, we have the programs and services for you. A lot of talented and gifted individuals, many of whom are volunteers,
are continually putting forth top-notch efforts to provide the best services possible.
Our hope is that each and every resident of Delavan can find a place to enjoy life to the fullest in our Parks and Recreation facilities and pro-
grams. We are not only looking to serve our residents, but also show non-residents how great it is to be a resident in Delavan.
I would personally like to thank everyone who has taken classes with us or visited one of our parks throughout the past year. We are always
looking to improve our facilities and programs. If you have a program idea for us, we are always willing to hear about it. We look forward to
building a clean, safe, and positive community not only in our parks, but also in Delavan as a whole.

Deadlines & Late Registration Fee Please note program registration deadlines.
Late registrations will be accepted if possi-
ble. A late fee of 25% of the program fee
shall be charged for registrations accepted
after a program’s stated deadline. It is our
hope to encourage registration by the dead-
line, not add revenue. So register early!
Don’t miss a chance to participate or let a
program be cancelled by registering late.
Fee Structure &
Non-Resident Fee Policy The Parks and Recreation Department
charges participant fees to limit taxpayer
subsidization. Fees are developed to recov-
er direct costs of programming. Those not
residing within the City of Delavan are con-
sidered non-residents, and will pay a slight-
ly higher fee in lieu of tax contribution.
In situations where the Department partners
with another tax-supported agency, such as
the School District, County or Township,
residency status, relating to program fees, is
extended to include the taxpayers of these
agencies.
Refund Policy The intent of this policy is to make possible
the refunding of registration fees and charg-
es based upon circumstances beyond the
control of a program participant.
A refund less 20% service charge, not
to exceed $5 will be granted if a refund
request is received at least seven (7)
days prior to the start of a program.
No refunds shall be granted if request is
received after the seven (7) day period
unless there is a medical condition.
A refund will be granted for a medical
condition that prohibits an individuals’
ability to participate in a program mi-
nus the 20% service charge and a pro-
rated program charge.
Refunds cannot be granted for programs
requiring advanced reservations, facility
rentals, WPRA discount tickets, or for pro-
grams that are 50% completed.
Inclement Weather Outdoor programs will be cancelled when
the weather is inclement or fields are not
playable. Please check online to determine
if a program is cancelled:
delavanparkrec.com
Cancelled Classes All programs are subject to change. Pro-
grams will be subject to cancellation
should low attendance warrant such a deci-
sion. There may be times classes need to be
cancelled due to weather, facility schedul-
ing, etc. We will attempt to reschedule the
class, however, if we are unable to make
up the class, there will be NO REFUNDS
given for class cancellations. For program
closing due to inclement weather, or other
reasons, call (262) 728-5585 ext. 222.
Age Requirements Adult programs are open to anyone age 18
and older, unless otherwise specified.
Youth programs involving team sports
will be organized by age or grade level.
The age/grade requirements for each pro-
gram are listed in this program guide. Par-
ticipants will not be allowed to move up to
a program if they haven’t reached the re-
quired age or grade. Individualized pro-
grams may be organized by experience or
skill level.
Non-Discrimination Policy The Delavan Parks and Recreation Depart-
ment will not exclude any person from
participating in a program or activity on the
basis of race, color, national origin, sex,
age, or disability. Please contact the Parks
& Recreation Department if you need spe-
cific accommodations in order to partici-
pate.
Financial Assistance Financial assistance is available for those
unable to pay registration fees. Those re-
questing assistance must fill out a financial
assistance form. For more information,

activity of this nature there is assumed
risk by the participant. The City of
Delavan Parks & Recreation Depart-
ment does not provide medical insur-
ance to participants, and assumes no

grams. A participant’s personal insur-

Delavan Parks and Recreation would like to thank the following individuals and organizations for their sup-

field.
We have exact requirements for implementation in the Sponsor
