As  Numberjacks:  we  will  recognise  and  order  numbers  to  10  and  then  20+.    We  will  add  and  subtract  using  counters  .  We  will  make  choices  and  solve  problems.  We  will  look  at  the  sizes  of  animals  and  make  shape  pictures,  e.g.  trains.  We  will  weigh  ingredients  to  make  cakes  from  Cake  Land.  

As  School  Children:  we  will  get  to  know  each  other  and  share  our  ideas  with  our  new  friends  and  teachers.  We  will  learn  the  school  rou%nes  and  get  to  know  the  people  in  our  school.  As  readers:  we  will  learn  our  phase  2  phonics  and  begin  to  put  the  leLers  together  to  blend  and  segment  CVC  words.  As  writers:  we  will  learn  to  write  our  names  and  other  words.  We  will  use  segmen%ng  and  blending  to  write  the  sounds  I  can  hear  in  a  word.  In  handwri%ng  we  will  learn  leLer  paLerns    and  forma%on.      

As  Ar,sts:  we  will  draw  ourselves    in  portraits  and  make  the  covers  for  our  theme  books.  We  will  make  collages.    As  Designers:  we  will:make  trains  with  moving  parts.    As  Musicians:  we  will:experiment  making  sounds  and  playing  different  instruments.  We  will  also  enjoy  dancing  and  singing.    

As  collaborators  we  will    play,  find  out  and  explore  together.  We  will  ask  for  help  when  we  need  it.  We  will  share  our  own  ideas  and  talk  to  children  and  adults  about  them.  We  will  

listen  to  and  think  about  other  peoples  ideas.
