Harvesting the Garden!

Yum! The garden has been harvested! We've got potatoes, carrots, corn, tomatoes, and beans! They all were amazing! We hope to plant more next year and try new things. We are waiting on our pumpkins still. We planted a giant pumpkin plant and hope to enter it and win the largest pumpkin at the giant pumpkin contest in Old Colorado City in October.

Rabbits Get Ready for Winter!

Awww! Look at the cute bunny. His name is Nay-Nay and with the cold weather on the way he is bundling up! Any time you want to meet the rabbits Nay-Nay and Lolo (not seen) they are currently neighbors with Homie in the bottom barn.

Bailey Off Stall Rest!

This is Bailey, he is a quarter horse and Arabian cross. He is such a sweet and beautiful horse but went lame last September. He will be fully recovered in just a few weeks. Yay! Ducy Horse Training can’t wait for Bailey to get back in the arena.

A Thursday Night Group Lesson!

These are some pictures from the fabulous Thursday night group lesson. We have loads of fun and we learn a lot. Having lots of people around makes it fun and you can get lots of tips on how to become a better rider. Amelia (right) is a regular for the lesson on Thursday nights. Mrs. Wendy (left) helps us become the best rider we can be.

I asked Mrs. Wendy to pose for a picture for the newsletter in the California drag but she said, “No, I will stand up though”. She is the coolest riding instructor ever!

Who is This Cute Kitty?

This cute kitten is a new addition to the barn. Her name is Polly Pocket because she is so small she can fit in your pocket! We all call her Polly for short. Look for Polly at the bar. Some of her favorite places where you might find her are in the hey, the office couch, and wandering around in the aisle.

Dude the Bucking Bronc

This is Dude, a two year old at Ducy Horse Training. He was being ridden by Brecken Nordman when he attempted to pull the rodeo stunt. I would have to say the trot was ok, but Brecken I would give you a 75 for the bronc ride!

The Monthly Feature!

Grace is our monthly feature for this month! She is always positive and makes everyone laugh. Grace has improved so much with her riding from when she started in August. She rides Shasta and does amazing on her. We all love having her around and coming to help out on Saturdays. Make sure to let Grace know how amazing she is next time you see her.

Pictures from the Show Ducy horse training participated in a open breed show on September 1st. All the girls did fantastic and their horses did too.

Kayden and Lincoln They got a Sixth in ranch riding, and two firsts in western pleasure and trail. Way to go their ranch riding was a class of 14-15 great job that was a hard class.

Evelyn and Boodee They placed sixth in western pleasure and third in trail.

Lilly and Strider They got second in trail and third in western pleasure.

Mayzie and Rambo They got third in ranch riding and second in western pleasure.

Kevin and Skip They got second in western pleasure.

There is also Nina and JB and Belle and Betsy Mae but due to technical difficulties their picture can not appear in this issue. I am so sorry please accept my apologies. Their pictures will appear in the next issue. They did amazing as well. They placed in the difficult ranch riding as well great job girls.

Great job everyone! Ducy Horse Training will make a steal this winter during the Winter Buckle Series!

A Way to get your Horse to Stand Still!

This is Barbie. She was getting a bath and would not stand still so the people washing her put duct tape on her nose and she stood still! She was so busy with what was on her nose that she didn’t notice she was getting a bath.

Shout Outs Shout Out To: Kayden for being so amazing at the show and cheering on her teammates! -unknown Shout Out To: Amelia for trying really hard even though her horse had some fear going into the show ring.
