McDonald’s has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and confident individual to join the National Development Group, based at Thornleigh (NSW) on a full time basis. The main purpose of the Real Estate Development Manager role includes: Finding, assessing and acquiring freehold and leasehold sites suitable for developing new McDonald’s restaurants in the NSW and ACT markets; Managing the end to end development process including negotiations, authority requirements, feasibilities, internal approvals and legal documentation; Developing professional collaborative relationships; and Managing general issues and inquiries. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and qualifications: At least 5 years experience in the real estate/property development industry; Outstanding negotiation skills, excellent property and business acumen; Demonstrated ability to develop property from site identitification stage including feasibility analysis, obtaining internal and government approvals through to handover to the construction team; Experience in effectively managing and collaborating with third party consultants including lawyers, town planning, acoustic, engineering and architectural; Tertiary qualifications in property economics or a related field highly regarded, but not essential.
