A NEW SEAWALL AT THE BOARDWALK

The Mayor and Councilmember Zapf review

the newly constructed seawall.

The iconic Mission Beach Boardwalk is home to the first segment of the $4.5

million restoration project of the historic seawall. The wall is being con-

structed to be reminiscent of the original project constructed in the 1920s.

Read Across America is a nation-wide program designed to inspire young

readers. As a Literacy Advocate, Councilmember Zapf participated as a

guest reader at the San Diego Central Library Celebration.

It was a blast celebrating Dr. Seuss’ legacy

and reading Hop on Pop with a very excited

group of children.

Hey Batter Up! Congratulations to all the Little

Leaguers and Girls Softball players in the district

as you begin your season. I had so much fun

celebrating the 60th year of “Hilltoppers Little League”, I presented the league with a resolution

declaring it Hilltoppers Little League Day in the City of San Diego. We also had fun hanging

around with the famous San Diego Chicken!
