Welcome Message
Dr. Thomas E. Serena
On behalf of the Wound Care 2017 organizing committee, I am delighted to welcome attendees from around the world to Dallas, Texas, USA, for the Third International Conference on Wound Care, Tissue Repair and Regenerative Medicine. Mark your calendars for September 11-12, 2017.Spurred on by a world-wide epidemic of chronic non-healing wounds a burgeoning specialty, “woundology,” has arisen. Concurrently, the scientific community has developed novel therapies to meet the seemingly endless needs of our patients. The future for wound healing clinicians and scientists is bright. I have been privileged to witness this explosion of progress in all aspects of Wound Care as well as changes that substantially affect wound center business. This year’s meeting will address all of these developments from a variety of prospectives. I look forward to meeting and sharing with wound care experts, physicians, researchers, nurses, biomedical and tissue engineering specialists, podiatrists, plastic surgeons, scientists and scholars from around the world. Our collective store of knowledge will surely be enriched by the innovations in wound care research and advances in clinical practice. Lectures will feature transformative presentations from a variety of disciplines. As the local Organizing Committee Chair, I want to welcome you to Dallas. And I want to thank the organizing committee for selecting the great city of Dallas to host this innovative event!I hope that you will find the conference and your stay in Dallas both valuable and enjoyable.
