The Uptown Amphitheatre at the North Carol ina Music Factory came alive the second the beats started to drop. What was forecast to be a chilly night quickly warmed up as high energy from the stage pumped adrenalin into everyone at the party.

Festival goers came from as far south as Myrtle Beach and as far north as Nashville to catch a glimpse of the massive lineup of Alex Metric, Dil lon Francis and German electro house producer and DJ Zedd. An epic array of colors blanketed the cool cloud smoked sky to form a rainbow of unity that surpassed any festival Raver Magazine has experienced this year.

The stage, LED lighting and the pyrotechnics jolted everyone in attendance. Zedd took the stage like a visionary rock star mixing high above the crowd, almost as if he was inside the screen itself covered by brush strokes of paint and misty clouds. His set took us on a roll coaster of a ride of electro house that even blended a few trap like drops. This change up took his performance to a whole other level that most where not expecting. Most could not fathom the vibe this artistic talent projected across the night sky. The energy during his set was a battle between those in the pit and those in the back. People in the middle were trapped in a moment of bliss that was transpiring all around them.

Hands in the air, shoulder rides, friends making friends, strangers hugging and smiling each other dominated the night that could only be put down as a memory that will never be forgotten.

If you have an opportunity to be part of the Zedd ? True Color Tour this year, don?t miss out. Raver Magazine highly recommends it as one of the must see events for the 2015.

On 19 August 2015, EUPHORICS held a press conference before Invasion 2015. They invited the media to interview Dash Berl in. Al though we only had f ive minutes to talk, we were lucky to learn more about Dash Berl in and what can we expect f rom his performance at Invasion 2015.

Q: You have visited Indonesia many t imes. Are there any dif ferences between each visit?A: There?s where people usually go wrong, thinking that everything is the same. It always dif ferent, actually. I bring new music, people always bring a dif ferent vibe. It?s not always the same people coming to the party. There?s a dif ferent promoter, there are also other people in the lineup, and this is all just a few of the ingredients of a party. The sun can be shining, it can be raining. That?s already affecting how people go to a party. So it?s never the same. By making new music, new remixes, I always keep my sets up to date and fresh. People respond to music dif ferently. Sometimes you have more of your fans standing up front and they?re really enthusiastic. Sometimes they?re spread out. Sometimes people bring a lot of banners, sometimes they don?t. For me, those dif ferences don?t really matter. The most important thing is that the people on the dance f loor are having a good time. That?s what they come for. I?m there to give them a good show. Q: You have supported the Giri Asih Foundat ion for years. What have you learned f rom this experience?A: To be honest with you, I?ve learned that sometimes I?m a litt le bit more emotional than I think I am. When I see the kids and when we have to say goodbye, it?s very dif f icult and it?s really breaks my heart. I just hope I can see them again. I hope that with the help of Dash Berlin, we can be part of better future. That?s what we want to do, that?s what we hope to obtain by helping them, in a secure environment and with people who were trained to give them a good education, and to teach them how to be a decent human being. If Dash Berlin can be just a spark in their l ife, that would be amazing. I also learned that as a person, it doesn?t matter how you help, it?s more important that you help.

Q: Your sets at Ul t ra Europe blew us away. Can we expect the same vibe at Invasion 2015? A: I got a lot of great feedback on the Ultra sets, even from Miami. There?s many more to follow. I try as much as I can to keep the sets refreshing, with new material, new remixes, and new mashups. So I will try to do that for Invasion 2015. That?s a big challenge, but the vibe? What you?ve heard on Ultra, that?s a true Dash Berlin vibe. So you can expect that on a small party, big party, big rave, on Ultra and EDC, and also on Invasion 2015.

Dubbed as the biggest indoor electronic music dance festival in Indonesia, Invasion 2015 successfully brought thousands of festival-goers to dance all night long. It?s one of the most anticipated festivals in Jakarta since its debut in 2013. This year, EUPHORICS as the organizer managed to bring Ale Mora, Mr. Belt & Wezol, Dash Berlin, and Alesso.

On 26 September 2015, a long queue formed in front of the gate of Hall A JIEXPO Kemayoran starting at 530 PM. Everybody waited patiently until the gate off icially opened at 630 PM. The f irst act to open the festival was Al Ghazali who entertained the crowd for 30 minutes. The next set was 3 Kings. The trio consisted of DJ Agung, Goeslann and Dimas who are known for the R&B and Hip-Hop tracks they drop at their performances. Also dropped during their set were tracks from various genres, such as Trap and Dubstep. It was not t il l they dropped Lean On, that everyone went felt the vibe and started to truly dance.

After 3 Kings, it was time for trio Cello-Ivan Guih-MC D?Truck to take the stage. They decided to bring out their other side. Usually, Cello and Ivan Guih perform with Trance music. However, at Invasion 2015, they wanted to show to the ravers that they can also play House tracks though they mixed their legendary trance into the beats. A moment of bliss came when they managed to get ravers to sing along when they played Coldplay?s song A Sky Full of Stars.

The venue got hot with the performance from J-Yap. During his performance, he threw some merch at those raving below. There was a bit of a technical issue at the end of his set, but it did not disturb the transition to Kevin Bun?s performance.

Invasion 2015Maddy Pertiwi - Rave Colony w/ RaverMagazine

Kevin Bun started off his performance with his new single with Indonesian singer Syahrini called Dream Big. Syahrini came out and sang beside Kevin. The crowd got excited when Syahrini threw some merch from the stage. Kevin brought some anthems that resonated deep to the heart of the local crowd. Right on 10 PM duo Mr. Belt & Wezol took the stage. Bart Riem and Sam Van Wees brought some Techno and Deep House tracks. It seems like they were cooling down the tension from crowd after dancing nonstop. Mr. Belt & Wezol played their hits l ike Somebody To Love and Finally. The crowd was ready to dance hard and endless. Next performance was Ale Mora. The 23-year old DJ lif ted up the mood of the crowd with banging tracks. Ale Mora opened with Sweet Dreams and continued to bring out more Electro and Progressive tracks. The crowd once again got pumped. Ale Mora greeted the crowd and even took a photo with the crowd as a background for his social. The entire venue was f il led with energy and positive vibes.

When the intro of This Summer Gonna Hurt Like a Mother F***r was heard, whole venue started to cheer because they knew that Alesso was next to perform. For 1,5 hours, Alesso dropped his hits, such as Sweet Escape, Cool, to City of Dreams and Under Control. The crowd didn?t stop singing with Alesso. In the middle of his performance, Alesso took Indonesia?s f lag, the Red and White, and waved the f lag to the crowd. Alesso also interacted with the crowd and asked them to jump and dance harder with him. Dash Berlin was the last one to perform. He opened his performance with This Is Who We Are, his collaboration with Syzz. From the f irst track Dash Berlin made thousands of ravers dance. Dash Berlin brought Kevin Bun and Syahrini on stage once again when he played his own remix of their single Dream Big. However, the biggest surprise was unveiled during the middle of Dash Berlin?s performance.

Known as a patron for Giri Asih Foundation in Bali, Dash Berlin called up one of the children from Giri Asih Foundation named Devi. With the song Underneath The Sky, Devi danced in Bali traditional costume. Her traditional dance and the song were in sync. The crowd cheered for the young lady. Apparently, electronic dance music and traditional dance from Bali is one good match.

Dash Berlin came off stage and approached the crowd. He also shared some merch. He waved the Indonesian f lag. Dash Berlin played some of his hits l ike Waiting, Man On The Run, Steal You Away, and Never Cry Again. The crowd sang from the beginning to the end.

Overall, Invasion 2015 ran smoothly without incident. The stage at Invasion 2015 was f il led with attractive visuals and awesome f ireworks. The lighting system along with laser for Invasion 2015 was one of the best we?ve seen in Indonesia. Hats off for EUPHORICS as the organizer. See you next year at Invasion 2016!

FTampa (Felipe Tampa) is one of those artists that are pushing the world of EDM to the next level. In Brazil he is an Electronic Music icon who is one of the pioneers working diligently to put Electronic Dance Music on the map. His massive drops and high energy are the root of his wicked success that is spreading like a wildf ire throughout the music community.

In 2013 his big break came when the # 1 DJ in the world Hardwell played FTampa - Kick It Hard at Tomorrowland?s Main Stage. From there the fuel that drove him to today is pure raw passion to make music. This passion and drive stems from hard work and dedication that progressed from the young age of 13. His driving force is an eagerness to create the right vibe that will take carry him to higher levels.

In the news for FTampa is his latest success with the creation of his new track Strike It Up, which is out now on Musical Freedom. As mentioned in the press release: ?When Tiesto plays your track at one of the biggest music festivals in the world, you know you have produced something incredible. The legendary artist dropped FTampa's Strike It Up at Creamf ields this year, and touted the track on his social media accounts as 'sick'. Strike It Up, although dif ferent from FTampa's previous releases, is already catching f ire in the industry.? To say that this track is catching Fire is really l ightly put. Strike It Up has literally thousands of plays and is being dropped by producers from all over the world. Raver Magazine had the chance to go deep and personal with FTampa this month. Here is what he shared with us.

FTampa

Q: One of the aspects that make you dif ferent from all of the other artists making headlines today is that you take risks with your music. You are literally def ining your own FTampa genre, especially with your new track Strike It Up that has bits of progressive house and melodic beats rather than the huge drops your fans are used to. Every track has a story behind it. What?s the story behind the creation of Strike It Up that inspired you to create such an epic vibe with new FTampa Music.

My f riend Bruno Barudi sent me the vocals of Black Box - Strike It Up and I loved it . I started working on the t rack right away. Every producer needs to keep improving and evolving their own sounds, I knew it was the right t ime to t ry something dif ferent . The vocal and t iming for this to happen was perfect . I took the risk and got lucky that Tiesto heard the t rack and also loved it .

Q: What?s next on the roster for FTampa for the rest of 2015 and into 2016? What message do you have for your fans that are coming to see you on the Strike It Up Tour, especially for my friends in Cochabamba, Bolivia who are anxiously awaiting you arrival?

There are a lot of new t racks coming, a few more in the same direct ion of Strike It Up and I wil l keep experiment ing new things in my studio. First of al l , thanks in advance to everyone who wil l go to my shows, i t is always amazing to be with my fans. You can expect , as always, a lot of energy and exclusive music during my sets! Let 's party together. Bol ivia! Can't wait to party with you!

Q: So many deep roots are forged in Brazil when it comes to the love and passion for music. How is that passion best ref lected in the music you produce?

If i t wasn't for my passion I would have given up a long t ime ago. Music is about feel ings and if one doesn't have it , one can't make good music.

Q: You?re creating music for some of the best names in the electronic dance world today. Specif ically you just released your remix of a track with NERVO?s rendition of Hey Ricky which is kil l ing it in the dance scene. Now, the Legend himself , Tiesto, is playing your new track Strike It Up in front of the masses at Creamfields. Do you feel that all of your work and talent is f inally paying off and what does that mean for Brazil and for FTampa personally?

For sure, I am now start ing to see the big rewards of the hard work that my team and I have been doing. It is st i l l hard to bel ieve that al l this is real . Tiesto playing my t rack and signing it under his label is surreal . For me personal ly, i t means accompl ishing my dreams and reinforcing that i f I keep doing what I love and working hard, I wil l have a good outcome. I think that for Brazil ian electronic dance music scene it is also a very important accompl ishment. It shows to other Brazil ian producers that they can fol low their passion and build an internat ional career.

Norwegian DJ and Producer Tom Straete Lageren, known by his stage name Matoma, is one of the leading pioneers in the world of Tropical House. Music has been a part of Matoma?s life since childhood.

The piano was at the forefront of his early music career. He received numerous accolades for his keyboard prof iciency and earned a Bachelor?s degree in Music Technology. During his school years, Matoma began mixing and creating music that resonated most with him. The soul and passion that he has for music elevated him to the next level especially after his remix of Old Thing Back by The Notorious B.I.G. became massively popular, topping the charts across the globe. Following this success, Matoma?s career took off on overdrive, remixing and producing music for names such as Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez, Eminem and Ja Rule.

Raver Magazine had an opportunity to chance to catch up Matoma in his L.A. studio for an interview. Here is what he had to say...

?From the beginning of my life music has been my passion. I began producing and remixing when I was 16 years old. During school, or when things got a litt le boring in class, I would remix acapella tracks that I thought had soul. I blended those tracks to my own vibe of Hip Hop, Swedish House and Tropical House. With technology and the sharing of music, I was able to gain loyal followers that really enjoyed my music. My remix of Notorious B.I.G ft. Ja Rule Old Thing Back really took everything to the next level. Had that not happened, I would probably be a music teacher back home, which would have truly been f ine with me. But I?ve been blessed. So many memories have been created on my journey. One memory, in particular, is being able to show my grandmother a picture of me playing at TomorrowLand Brazil in front of 60,000 people. She was so proud of how far I have come. My message to whoever reads this editorial is to never give up on your dreams. Have passion and drive for the music you create. Never just pop in a USB drive and play a track. Play from your heart and the love of music will take you places you can only dream of.? - Matoma

We got a chance to catch up with Grammy winning artist CID before his set on Saturday at Pier of Fear in New York. We wanted some insight on an artist that has made some big moves in the EDM world lately. He threw an awesome set really hyping up the crowd before Kaskade laid down his impressive line up of tracks.

Raver: ?We were happy to hear you had a lot big news over the last few weeks releasing Love Is Blind and signing over to Big Beat Records!?

CID: ?That was actually my f irst single with Big Beat. I am really excited to be a part of that team! So far the reaction to Love Is Blind has been awesome.?

Raver: So how did the song Love is Blind end up coming together?

CID: ?To be honest, it was a vocal that I had laying around. I really just wanted to do something dif ferent than everything else that was out there.?

Raver: How about that l itt le award you won, you know that Grammy?

CID: ?I was doing studio work at the time with Cedric Gervais and the opportunity came to him to remix Summer Time Sadness, he asked if I could help him out. It?s an amazing song, I was just grateful to be a part of that project, and then it ended up in the Grammy.?

Q&A w. CID

Raver: We have heard that you and DJ Berrie have an interesting background, and that you helped him out as he was coming up?

CID: ?He was already kil l ing it DJing for a while before I met him. He came to the studio for one of his f irst sessions and the guy was just a brain, so my f irst intuit ion was that I wanted to help him. I started showing him a few things. Shortly after that I watched the guy spend like 18 hours a day for 3 years in the studio, he?s insane.?

Raver: How did you end up on the tour with Kaskade?

CID: ?I was actually introduced by his lawyer who was also representing me. So we started emailing back and forth. I kept sending track after track, half the time I wouldn?t even hear anything back because he?s always so busy. Then after a while had gone by I decided to send a few new releases again, there must have been something in that the track he heard that made him think to himself , I really want to help this kid! So he called me up and he said just that. From there he introduced me to his manager Stephanie, now she?s my manager. Kaskade?s whole thing was that he wanted to teach me more by getting me on his tour. The track US was a track that I didn?t even know was going on the album and I?m just happy to be apart of it.

Q&A Cont .Raver: You have transcended between so many dif ferent positions from producer, an engineer, to DJ how do you juggle all that?

CID: I have pretty much stopped. I was a DJ f irst, and then I started producing to also build my name for DJing. I came to the realization a couple years ago that I needed to focus 100% on myself because that?s the only way that I?m ever going to be as good as any of these guys. So right now I?m purely concentrating on me and performing better.

Raver: So what does it feel l ike to have Hardwell, Tiesto, and Don Diablo supporting your music so much lately?

CID: ?I ended up doing a few Tracks with Don and what you come to f ind out more and more is this whole industry is based on relationships. You may work with one person and they might introduce you to someone else and that opens you up to more opportunities.?

Outside the Yost Theater in the blazing heat spectators and competitors alike gathered. They were eager to get things underway. The event was sold out, emotions were on edge, and the vibe was nothing but pure positive energy. Moments later I entered a dark room that took me through a long corridor. It was there that I met up with Raver Magazine Fashion Director and L.A. Event Photographer Nhan Tran. We had covered many events in the past, but this was the f irst International Gloving Championship we had the opportunity to attend.

The atmosphere was electric when we entered the room. My eyes glistened as a sea of l ights swarmed around me in every direction. I didn?t know it at the time, but this was my opportunity to meet some extraordinary individuals who are creating a unique vibe for our electronic culture.

Nhan and I made our way through the crowd of competitors and event goers, stopping from time to time to get a feel for everything that was sparking around us. The f lashes resembled glowworms climbing a rich green moss tree in some far out, space like jungle. It was truly a moment of bliss that took over my emotions as I watched the pro-glovers compete against each other for the prestigious tit le.

The f irst thought that came to my mind was, ?This is sooo eff ing incredible!? The music started and the lights around me danced and blended into the beats being dropped. It was like walking

A Day to Remember

IGC 2015 was a day f il led with contests, entertainment and pure inspiration. We watched performances by hoop dancers, various light demonstrations and special performances by some of the biggest names in the gloving world today. We were fortunate enough to catch up with some of the artists for exclusive interviews including Jaimison, the lovely Dytto who was recently featured on Ellen and DJ Bear Gril lz who f lew into L.A. directly after a gig in New York.

As the night progressed, the competit ion got intense. It astonishes me how the judges collaborated to come up with a decision as to who would win. It was truly not an easy task. In short, the talent was beyond astonishing. I was lucky to meet up with Mike and Oscar, the founders of The Puppet Masters, the biggest team today in the gloving world and the winners of IGC 2015. They told us the story behind gloving, how it started and the wonderful impact it?s had on the lives of so many people. At the end of the event we had a moment to catch up with the now two-time winner of IGC, Ice Kream Teddy. At Raver Magazine, we strive to raise awareness of positive life altering situations as well as reporting on the fun and excitement that comes with our ever-growing EDM culture. Contrary to stereotypes, the music and the lights of our sub-culture goes deeper than fun and challenges. In the gloving world, there are no outcasts. A beautiful girl went up on stage and courageously shared with us her story of suffering from a mental il lness that even doctors couldn't help. She went on to give her testimony on how the gloving society welcomed her in with loving arms. She went on to say that because of this love and support she was able to recover. She now uses her story to inspire and invite others to become part of what she calls, ?The international family of l ights.? She

named her friends this because ?They shine a light for the future.?

The energy has been building all day and the stage is set for the f inal match of the 2015 International Gloving Championship (IGC) event at The Yost Theater in Los Angeles, California. You could feel the anticipation of the crowd as we all gathered tightly around the main stage to catch the beginning of the battle between Machine who was set to glove against Ice Cream Teddy for the grand prize of $1000.00 but more importantly, a chance to call themselves the IGC 2015 Gloving Champion. Before long the countdown began and right on cue the base and lights dropped. This is when I realized we are all l iving in the future. Machine moved his f ingers perfectly in tune with the music and his competitor seemed to know exactly what Machine was saying. Continuing into his set he let off a f lurry of movements that left l ight trails with each fading vibration. At the end of his set you could tell he held nothing back and Ice Cream Teddy was excited to preform next.

The announcer grabbed the microphone and introduced Teddy who seemed to need no introduction; as the winner of last years IGC Competit ion Ice Cream Teddy looked ready and determined to defend his tit le. With his shades down and poker face on Teddy controlled the f low of t ime expanding and manipulating the light l ike a conductor of sound. The crowd was lost in a trance as the round came to an end and it was time to announce the winners of the event. After announcing (third and 4th place) they ushered Ice Cream Teddy and Machine center stage. Machine who seemed like the crowd favorite was let down when the judges announced the winner of The 2015 International Gloving Championship as Ice

Cream Teddy who for the second time in a row now managed to secure his position The International Gloving Champion. Obviously thril led Teddy took to the dance f loor to celebrate and express for his f inal t ime of the evening the passion and love he holds for his craft. A dance battle between some genuinely talented individuals started to bring the night to a close in a room f il led with genuine happiness.

As the night came winding down, I was lucky enough to exchange words with both Machine and Teddy who despite the excitement that just preceded humbly joined their friends and the rest of the crowd. Machine made no comment on the outcome of the event but you could tell he held a genuine admiration and regard for his competitor.

Ice Cream Teddy, who I bumped into outside with the rest of Puppet Masters [PM] Crew, was overwhelmed with joy and I was honestly taken back by the emotion. Being the only person to win The International Gloving Championship two years in a row he was at a loss for words but managed to tell me, " I said I was going to do it. It was dif f icult to believe it was possible, but i believed in myself and I did it."

Mi chael Tul l ber g Earlier this month I was in Los Angeles for some f ilm and creative partner meetings. I had a chance to meet Michael Tullberg, the legendary Rave photographer from the 1990s and 2000s. I had lunch with Michael and his publicist Susan Von Seggern in a cool l itt le restaurant near Hollywood and Vine.

Michael?s new book, Dancefloor Thunderstorm is amazing. Michael?s logline for the book, ?Land of the Free, Home of the Rave? says it all. Reporting from the epicenter of the 1990s Rave culture, photographer Micheal Tullberg captured the American Rave scene at its peak. Today?s EDM fans will love Michael?s visual tribute to the men and women who catapulted electronic dance music into the public eye.

It was awesome to sit down with someone so well versed in the history of EDM. Michael is stil l very cool and relevant, but he also took me back to the ?glory days? of the Rave and shared stories about musical legends that only he could tell.

I highly recommend getting a copy of Dancefloor Thunderstorm. It?s truly a treasure and very unique piece of Americana and EDM history. https:/ / dancefloorthunderstorm.com

GRiZ

Grant Kwiecinski, also known by his stage name GRiZ, made massive headlines in Charlotte, NC as he played in front of a sold out crowd of thousands. Saxophone playing beats, extreme foot shuff l ing infused by groovy instrumental vibes took the night deep into his own funk that was not only futuristic but also genre defying. That being said, GRiZ?s music was not the only thing that captured our attention at the event. In the front by the entrance was a table. GRiZ?s team gathered with a square open picture frame. Each member of his loyal team walked around allowing people to take pictures with the frame, they then told his fans to come and to the table that was f il led with GRiZ merch that they where not selling, but rather raff l ing off . GRiZ?s charity was taking donations for people in need.

It was a refreshing sight to see an artist focused on helping someone other than just himself .

GRiZ's fourth album, Say It Loud, was released on March 31, 2015. This album is literally awe inspiring to the point that people do a double take when they listen to it for the f irst t ime! Special thanks to Sugar Society and Disco Donnie for the invite to attend this epic event in Charlotte, NC.

LAVI

Q: You are Raver Mag Girl November, so how does it feel? What?s going through your mind right now?

Are you kidding? Is that a question?! I'm honored to be Raver Mag Girl November! It's my first magazine and I can't believe I'l l be featured in Raver magazine! My mind is going crazy and I'm so excited to have been part of the Raver Girls! My heart feels so warm and fuzzy.

Q: What does EDM mean to you and what makes it stand out for you verses the other genres of music?

EDM is a symbol of peace to me. It brings so many people of different backgrounds and different ethnicity together to have fun. Other genres have stereotypes such as, rap is for gangs and thugs, Kpop is for Asians and wanna be Asians, country is for rednecks and southern people, but EDM is for everyone and anyone. That's what makes it stand out for me.

Q: Zedd performed with Lady Antebellum and Audien recorded a track with Lady Antebellum too. What is your opinion on the EDM crossover to other genres, especially EDM crossed with country music?

Here again, it brings people together even people who favor certain genres. My opinion is that it was great! It introduces two types of genres and brings together more ideas and more people and that means more people have fun and enjoy themselves. I honestly

don't favor country music but I love EDM and it introduced a country feel to me and I loved it! Keep up the good work guys!

Q:If you can attend any festival which would it be, and why and what would you wear?

Coachella. Coach to the Ella! So many people go and I love meeting people who are different than I am but inside are the same as me! Being around so many people who love the same thing I do is a dream come true! I would wear a modern bohemian type of outfit like a white dress with soft ruffles that flows easily and some brown knee boots. As for make up and hair I'd do a soft smokey eye and nude lips with beach waved hair and accessories are so necessary! Just anything would do!

Q:. What's your favorite genre (electro, trance, house, dubstep, trap, etc.) of EDM and who would you like to have a rave session with?

Oh gosh I love them all but I would have to say house and trap are my favorites. I love to dance and I just feel like I get more loose with those two genres, but by all means every genre of EDM is life. As for having a session with someone, I wouldn't like but I would love to have a rave session with Hardwell! He is amazing and I'm proud that he's the #1 DJ. I really think he deserves it with all the hard work he does for his music! November
