there have been many resource that are avilable over internet. please find themadn read again

    in general:

this field gives you a lot flexibility.

You can maintain your price with more decimals than the currency has.

1 kg @ 1,255 Euro. SAP does not allow that to be entered since the Euro has only 2 decimals.

With this field you can enter 12,55 Euro per 10 ( PEINH value) kg or even 1255 Euro per 1000 (PEINH value)kg.

In MBEW (material master) PEINH is related to the base unit. However in a purchase order PEINH is related to the purchase price unit which must not be the baseunit and not even the order unit.

Example; BuM = kg, OU = liter, price unit is barrel. Then PEINH is related to barrel.

    a different example:

    Dollar only has 2 decimals.

If one piece costs 4.2345 Dollar,

then 10 pieces costs 42.345 Dollar

then 100 pieces costs 423.45 dollar.

then 1000 pieces costs 4234.50 dollar.

Since SAP does not allow to use more decimals than a currency in real life has, they gave us a way to go around that problem.

As the quantity has its unit, the price has its unit, too.

Lets buy a cow for 4.2345 Dollar per kg as an example:
